Beautiful restaurant on the beach with exceptionally good food. This restaurant is really a hidden gem. We only found it thanks to google reviews and want to do it justice with another fabulous review. The restaurant is close to the airport, 15 min away, im a quiet little village. It sits right on the beach with tables / chairs on the actual beach and on the sprawling patio facing the beachfront. We started lunch with a lovely bottle of local rose - dry with floral overtones and a hint of citrus. For appetizers we had a sort of salad that involved a birds nest fillo dough with peeled cherry tomatoes, fresh mozzarella and grapes - very original. Also the smoked eggplant salad - again original in its smokiness with a hint of paprika and chopped tomatoes. The grilled squid was fresh and perfectly cooked - marinated in lemon oil sauce and herbs. The truffle risotto is one of the best I’ve ever had - the texture of the risotto really was perfect, just the right consistency, it was creamy and full of truffles. We finished with a homemade sorbet of nectarines - it was like eating the real fruit but even better, and quite refreshing. Prices were comparable to everywhere else we ate in Paros. 1 nice bottle of wine, 2 appetizers, 2 entrees and 2 deserts was around 100E (would have been around 70E without the wine). Service was excellent - very attentive staff who spoke great English. We meet the owner who told us that everything was locally sourced - which I 100% believe given the superior quality if the ingredients. We absolutely adores this restaurant. It gas just the right balance of classic and innovative cooking. It is well wort the effort of going our of your way to reach it. Wish we had found it earlier in our trip so we could have visited a 2nd time.

All would have been dreamy and nice if only.... The restaurant is located in an amazing area. Our table was under the trees overseeing the bay and the calm sea. After 1 hour of gazing the sea and enjoying the breeze the waiter arrived to set up our table. After another painful amount of time another waiter arrived to provide the menus. We randomly received a portion of bread and some spreads. After this Odyssey and our first complain a waiter arrived to take our order; he was not the most polite person I've ever met but still we are simply enjoying the view along with all the rest of unserved customers who were already making fun of this tragedy.... After a while we were served our drinks and then slowly first plates arrived. A little girl appeared out of nowhere to gift us with some watermellon, meanwhile our starters didn't even bother to arrive. After I started to think that probably the fresh fish we ordered was still swimming gracefully in the Aegean sea yet to be caught, we were served our starters. Of course painstakingly slowly. Food was very good and tasty with all the required notes and scents for a genuine Mediterranean mezze or light lunch with ouzo although little pretentious and served in huge gastronomy wannabe plates that were difficult to handle in our small ouzeri table. The fish probably managed to escape from the fishermen, so after 2hrs of my most terrible experience in Paros I decided to ask for the bill. The waiter almost judged us with his eyes and was about to sentence us in eating the fish which was about to go out of the kitchen at that moment but I denied politely as we went there for lunch and if we stayed more we might be doomed to have our order for dinner. Thank you very much but Big Not.

This is, most probably, the best place to eat in the whole island of Paros. It wont be cheap (expect arround 30 euros/person or more) but it is wholeheartedly worth it. All ingredients are fresh, most of them locally produced and prepared with the outmost care by the house chef, Marios Samartanis. The squid "risotto" is a recipe that you expect to find in a fine dining restaurant at some european metropolitan. Its a five star dish. The starter with the crab and shrimp in a spinach leaf along with the broth that accompanies it is an explosion of taste. Meat and poultry is local and very tasty. Gotta try the summer salad with the peach, lettuce, oranges, figs and the orange balsamic sauce. The house wine is light and summery, not too dry. The chocolate and caramel ganache is masterfully worked and leaves a full flavor in the mouth. The location is suberb, the restaurant aesthetics blend seamlessly with the setting which makes the experience even more worth it. Anna, Marios wife, runs the place and will tend to every of your needs. The service has an excellent knowledge of the menu and will guide you through the options if you ask for their assistance.

Food and Atmosphaire may be the attractive reasons to visit this place but Service is the reason to prevent you from not going ever again.... Although staff looked friendly, in the end you are leaving the place with the impression of being mocked and deceived, while at the same time your wallet weights unjustifiably lighter... A restaurant charging prices twice than the average, should have a better kitchen coordinator, and a proper restaurant manager. Here are some critical areas that could be useful to anynone deciding on a next lunch or dinner:

  1. We were a company of 11 people, with a respective reservation. Still, we were proposed to sit on a table that could fit only one plate for each one of us. We accepted to split our company and send 3 people (our kids) to another table, not close to us.
  2. We ordered 8 main meals, apart from the rest. 4 of them came in 30 minutes, 3 of them after additional 35 minutes and the last one after 10 additional minutes. By the time the 3 meals arrived, the waiters started to pick up the plates from the people already finishing their meal. That was the first complain to the waiter and asked for the manager
  3. the second complaint came when the final dish was served; we asked for the manager again....
  4. The owner came at the end with no information about the incident. She tried to express a fake apology, which further irriated us. We asked the bill anyway
  5. The restaurant manager came to receive the payment. She noted 3 times how much tip we will offer, where we can put it depending on cash or card payment etc. The attitude was completely unacceptable!!
  6. I left the last comment on the prices. Prices are a sensitive matter which affects diferrently each one but one can agree that a payment for loaf of bread for 11 people (c. 15 slices) for 28 euros is to become viral.....This is not Kolonaki Athens, Not Mykonos, not Paroikia, Not Naousa....This is Paros-Aliki.....Just see the rooms arounds the restaurant and you will see the contrast.... If you ever come across this restaurant, look again.... Self-esteem is more important than just spending...
