Our first choice of restaurant was closed and this place was in front of the wsterfront. Their board said they do gyros but they dont. Its on their printed menu with no price next to it. I think they they write it on the chalkboard just to get you in (if thsts that's you're looking for). We were served by the younger and taller man who never smiled once or welcomed us and made us feel like we were inconveniencing him. Getting a top-up drink took forever despite the fact that he constantly passed the fridge they were in that was just a few feet from our table. You got alot of food but what they do and don't tell you is that THERE IS A CHARGE FOR THE GARLIC BREAD AND TZATZIKI they place on your table whilst you're waiting for your order to be cooked. IT IS NOT FREE. It appeared on our bill as a 3 euro charge which was a little sneaky. Its a shame they are that desperate for an additional 3 euros that they felt they had to do it in this way. It was ok but next time let the customer know beforehand that it is not free, some of your customers may be on a budget. If I was in Patmos again I wouldn't go there again based on the miserable service if I wanted an enjoyable meal in a pleasant atmosphere and the sneaky charge. The food we had...
Read moreGood quality of food and fast service. A bit pricey for a grill house in comparison with normal mainland prices but in Patmos, eateries charge more in general.
We were happy with our experience, just the odd thing was at the moment of paying, they asked us for a tip via their machine cards (POS). Tipping is not a custom of Greece at all & you only give one if you think your waiter/tress went above and beyond. Actually it’s the same as in a lot of EU countries & I am from France where it’s the same. If you don’t know the culture here, then you’re completely getting ripped off & I didn’t see other Greek clients getting asked the same question so it...
Read moreAmazing restaurant with tasty food for a good value. We dined here twice - first meal we had was their Gyros which were fantastic. We ordered one pork and one that was mixed ground veal and lamb. The veal/lamb gyro was outstanding! Most places just have pork or chicken and we have been in Greece for several months so it was fun to try a new flavor. We went back a couple nights later and ordered the “portion” ground veal/lamb kabobs with grilled veg and the wonderful “Alas” salad. I also want to mention how nice their house red wine is. Probably the best “house” table wine we had at a Greek taverna. Highly...
