My partner and I spent four days soaking up Skopelos, and on day two, we stumbled upon this tiny yet perfectly crafted cafe called Juices & Books (yep, you can sip and read at the same time. They also have a good selection of books for purchase too).
This place was love at first sight, and it quickly became our morning ritual for the rest of our stay.
Nestled among a slew of other eateries along the picturesque harbor front, this place has prime real estate with pleasant views of the harbour and Skopelos hillsides. But what really sets it apart is its quirky twist—a mix of health-conscious drinks (think smoothies, shakes, and juices) alongside traditional Greek goodies. The juice game here is strong. Each concoction is a unique blend aimed at everything from digestion to energy boosts, and they’re all so darned delicious. We also devoured a Greek yogurt mixed with fruit, nuts, and honey, plus their homemade cake of the day. Everything was amazing.
Now, let’s talk about the true stars of the show—the owner and her crew. These folks are not just running a cafe; they’re crafting an experience. Super friendly and attentive, they made the place feel even more special.
Here’s to hoping Juices & Books keeps crushing it and growing stronger by the day. They’ve...
Read moreWorst experience on the island by far! The menu is overpriced and they offer very bad quality produce for what they charge. The avocado toast from the menu was not a proper sourdough toast, but a “tostaki” with store bought bread from a pack, 3 slices of avocado and cream cheese for the price of 4,60e!!! Unbelievable! Although the concept sells “organic” and tries to take advantage of the new trends, it is nothing but a disappointment. Nothing on the menu was worth coming for. Needless to say the guy making the food never wore gloves or mask during the preparation, neither the lady serving food. This is disgusting even pre-covid, much more during a pandemic!!!! More, to show what a negative person he is, he was fighting mid-service with the waitress, and fired her because she asked for a fair payment. All that in front of the customers. And we all saw her leaving in tears. Shame shame shame!!!! Left alone, he could not even make the orders in time. People waited and waited foooorever, and so for 2 toasts that a 5 year old could make, we waited...
Read moreThe matcha latte here tastes wonderful. You can taste the matcha is actually real matcha and not just flavourings, which really summons up Juices and Books providing healthy foods for the body and soul. Tiziana provided really helpful insights on which foods are better for your current state of body, and constantly checked up on us if everything was fine. The postcards we bought were all photographed by Tiziana herself, really beautiful, and specially exclusive in their restaurant. Last year we went to Skopelos too early and wasn’t able to try, but thankfully this year we’re able to try again. Would go to Skopelos once again for their food. Thank you...
