Nostos Taverna — Restaurant in Skopelos Municipality

This is by far not the worst place I have eaten but the problems faced were unfortunately not ignorable. I had the ‘Big fried English breakfast’ and the eggs Benedict with avocado and smoked salmon.

Firstly, the English breakfast did not include marmalade like advertised and the toast were a couple of slices of bread in a separate basket rather than on the plate. The main disappointment was that the sausages served were more like Frankfurts which as a Brit is a big issue if you are ordering an ‘English breakfast’. Whilst I am in my ignorance and for all I know it might be difficult for them to obtain sausages the way the British make them, I doubt that is the case and have seen a couple local butchers which have access to this type of product. Additionally, the other parts of the dish were mediocre which makes it difficult for me to feel better about giving this review more than three stars.

However, the eggs Benedict was delicious and hosted a lovely sauce which I thoroughly enjoyed. The avocado was quite strange because it was not ground up into a paste like it should be if it’s being served on toast, instead it was cut up into chunks but putting that aside, it was quite tasty.

I must also admit that the service was quite slow and we had to wait until a separate waiter asked us if we had been asked our food...

I ordered food and drinks around 35 euro in total and they inflated the bill until 74.5 euro, food was good but they tried to scam me, I told them that this is totally messed up! they made another bill that was correct and pay by card with 0 tip from obvious reason. I hope I will never came by scammers like them. UNFAIR! Avoid them!!!

Mister, first of all you didn't give me official invoice, so if I want to make for you big damage I would be able to do only because if this, so let's agree that your behavior was not ok because you saw me as tourist that may be overcharged for something that we did not order. Please exchange your behavior because other tourists that are not understanding your language might not be stupid people and as well as greek people needs to receive the same respect as human beings. From outside the place looks nice, but when you sit in, it’s all another story. The waiter who took our order was very rude, we asked not to put the tomatoes in the salad and his answer was “do not expect a lot from this salad”. However, after 40 minutes of waiting, we received the dishes. All the salads had tomatoes and the fries were cold. When another waiter asked us if everything was good, we said that the fish was nice but the fries were cold. She said “ehh okay” while leaving and not even saying sorry. Lastly, they brought to EVERYONE an amaro and a small dessert and not to us… something is telling me that this discrimination has to do with our critique made on the fries.
