Pizzeria Gousto — Restaurant in Skopelos Municipality

I searched this place out because of the many reviews as a cheap but good pizza restaurant. It didn't disappoint. A bit off the beaten track and tricky to find but a lovely meander through busy lanes (often the wrong lanes) with many interesting shops along the way leads to an airy spacious courtyard with plenty of space and a great atmosphere.

The staff are attentive, friendly and helpful. The house white inexpensive and good and the pizzas as good as you'll find anywhere. The small pizzas are really not small and the large more than enough for 2 people. I had pepperoni with extra chilli and my partner went for the Greek pizza. We were both impressed.

We ordered a Greek salad too and it was possibly the best I've had anywhere. Big chunks of fresh cucumber and tomatoes with fabulous olives, crisp onions with bite, red pepper with a big slab of excellent feta on top. Just lovely.

We had to bring a couple of slices of pizza home, there was so much though of course the Greek salad was not tiny.

Rounded off with a couple of small carafe of the very drinkable house white the whole meal came in at around €35 which is great value for super food in a lovely setting with excellent...

We chose this restaurant because of the good reviews it had, but unfortunately, they didn’t live up to our expectations. I won’t comment on the food, because I believe that the attitude of the staff and management is much more important. It’s completely unprofessional to be pushed out the way we were, just because they clearly wanted to close much earlier—even though it was raining heavily and we were waiting for it to ease up a bit. Even more unprofessional, though, is refusing to take feedback and improve, and instead insulting and slandering the people who trusted your business by calling them liars. A sweet restaurant in Skopelos, if you visit Gousto, don’t hesitate: order a pizza!

Pizzas are really delicious here, the dough is incredibly tasty and well-made: not too heavy to digest, prepared in the restaurant, perfectly cooked. And they were surprisingly served fast. The salad were tasty with a fresh veggies. However, I removed two stars because two of my family ordered burger and they came very late, almost when we were all done eating our pizza and salad. So I really don’t recommend ordering burger or maybe, remove them from the menu.
