Giola Tavern — Restaurant in Thassos Municipality

I see there are some bad reviews here, but our experience was really good, we came the second time in two years and everything was really fine. Recently we orderd food and it was very delicious and fresh (we have been to places where food was not that special, I mean... the main restaurants/taverns recommended by most of the people). Anyway, the serving was good, we got served by an eldery and very joyfull waiter, he gave us good viebes :). Some of the people here said they don't have POS (to pay with credit/debit card), well, it is not the case, on each of our visits we payed with the card without issues. Maybe sometimes they don't have them working? I don't know... I only know that we left pleased and with our stomachs full, ready for the next...

I came here with a rent ATV. On the entrance of the parking I’ve been told I need to buy a drink if I want to park there as it’s a private parking. They gave me a ticket and wanted to bring it back with a stamp (the proof I bought something from the bar). I’ve been to the natural pool and on the way back I wanted to buy a drink as requested on the entrance but I didn’t have cash, I could only pay by card. The man from the bar, I suppose was the owner, was very angry and asked me very agressive if I ever have an euro, unfortunately I didn’t... and then very angry and with an agressive voice he told me to never come back because they won’t let me enter. What was this? Does anyone has this problem here? I don’t think this is normal, I wasn’t...

Do not go to this taverna! I went to eat here with my boyfriend after a nice visit to Giola Our salad was old and had a horrible tast, the frites were oily (like they've been heated too many times) and besides that their chicken wasn't well cooked and raw at some places!! We politely asked the cook to look at the salad. First we heard him say to the weater it was fine what he served us. So the weater came and tell us it wasn't old. Suddenly the weater came to us with a new plate of fresh salad because they knew it was bad what they served us...We didn't even try to start a discussion with the cook about the frites and chicken. You can better try another place to have a good tast of Greek food that...
