When you think of a cozy spot where you can enjoy a meal, or an evening in a small-town yet cosmopolitan atmosphere, Tsiknas in Theologos is your place. Tonight, two Americans are here with an Australian couple, a few Greek families with children and five older Greek men playing cards. We sit on the patio outdoors watching a full moon rise over the hills just to the east...simply beautiful. The food was minimal for us but still, Greek beer, tsiporo and some mezze carried us for over an hour as we watched people, played cards, ate and drank in this ancient town....the owner and his wife, along with their help were alert, available and...like most grecian taverna owners, generous. We went for breakfast , all ok, BUT check your receipt!!! They add 13 € plus, for a bill of 56 €! Mr. Owner if i want to give tips, i will and i did! If you put your hand in my pocket, without my knowledge your are just a thief! And a coward too! Because you send your young boy to get the payment! The stars are only for your young boy!
