Tavern The Dipylon — Restaurant in Trikala Municipality

I usually forget to write reviews, but honestly, this was an amazing meal, both in food and service. Great hospitality, great local wine, and AMAZING food I'll never forget !!! 🤤🤤🤤Can't wait to visit trikala again to go there! 🤤🤤🤤 Ps. I got the tigania with leek, was so good I'm thinking of making it at home, my friend got the stuffed pattie (gemisto bifteki), she loved it, we also got the politiki salad, saganaki with honey and two tzatziki portions, as it was so good and we decided to have more! Finally, we had the semi sweet house wine, which was impressively pleasing....

A perfect tavern on a perfect spot. We we're here for lunch and the place was packed, however we managed to get seats. Service was fast and very nice, even though only one employee spoke English. But menu was in English so we managed. And then everything was perfect, all the appetizers were great and main courses too - sousages were great and calf liver too. Good house wine. But be careful - portions are huge and basically the side dish is server with them - ordering more potatoes was an error and we ended up really stuffed! Great experience overall, definitely...
