Some locals recommended this to us this summer and we went a couple of times this summer. Location is tucked away in an area full with little bars, restaurants and cafes. Veggera and the adjacent restaurant are hidden under loads of trees which makes it nice and breeze in the hot summer days. Plenty of tables outside in almost like a little green plaza feel next to some ancient ruins. Food was good, Tsipouro snacks were great and portions were big. We were a big group and it was nice that the owner came around and greater all the tables, it made everyone feel welcomed. However, both nights we noticed a bit of a rushed, sloppy and snappy customer service. We had to repeatedly order things as they got forgotten, we had messed up dishes, dirty glasses, slow cleaning up after we have finished but then taken away plates without asking that had food on them.. overall some ruff and as I said sloppy service unfortunately. Read moreOne of the nicest restaurants in all of Volos. This place is in Old Volos not far from the water. The restaurant is stylish and classy. Staff are friendly and accommodating. I went there with friends for dinner. Everyone's meal was impressive. The only complaint was the camel dish. My friend said it was tough and just OK. I had the osso bucco and my friend had the pork shank that was fall off the bone tender. You need a huge appetite to eat that. My other friend has the pasta and said it was fantastic. Good table/house wine here. All the furniture are very high end. Just a charming place to have a meal at. Can't go wrong here. Read moreVeggera is a well-known restaurant that the concierge at our hotel in Volos highly recommended. Eager to try it, we decided to give it a try. The service was friendly, and the generous portions made us feel welcomed. We especially enjoyed sitting outside, soaking up the lovely weather.
However, our main concern was the food, which is undoubtedly the most critical aspect of any dining experience. Unfortunately, despite trying several dishes, none met our expectations. The waiter, noticing our disappointment, kindly offered us a free dessert, but to our surprise, it also fell short.
During our time in Volos, we explored other restaurants that we found far more enjoyable, making for a much better dining...
