Allegro traditional restaurant — Restaurant in Zakynthos Municipality

We are here in Keri at moment and made reservations for here after reading good reviews, we arrived at 8 and was told half off the meat menu was not available, so we ordered chicken in tomato sauce and meatball with spaghetti, we got our drinks pretty quick and it wasn't too busy we were waiting 55minutes, and when it did arrive my meatball dish was cold and the chicken dish was lukewarm, I told the lady it was cold and she said its fresh ☹️so she took it away and when it came back it was hot as it should have been but I didn't eat much as it wasn't very enjoyable, the spaghetti was the nicest part, it's a lovely Taverna and situated in a lovely spot but I definitely went home hungry, the server apologised when we were paying and as my husband's a chef, he explained it can't take that long to make a simple dish and he replied...

We are from Germany and came to Zakynthos for the Holidays. As we we're here we noticed a lot of Taverns and Restaurants offering the same food over and over again. My aunt suggested us to go to Katerina's Allegro, Breakfast & Coffee & Homemade food. So as we came in for Dinner the stuff was super friendly ans calm, they seem totally Professional. When the Food arrived after short time it was absolutely amazing! We were told to tell Katerina ( who also cooksand serves by herself) that wanted to be surprised so we got many different dishes (all in the middle of the table to be shared) and for real ALL OF THEM we're superdelicious and interesting and different :) all of us were Superhappy, even the children were all good. Me and my wife came for food here and have returned 3 more times. Sitting in the village with the locals, an upstairs are that you can view the sunset and the host even reminds you if you would like to see it! if you belive the prices are high for home cooked greek food you are wrong! Katerina is a wonderful host, she cooks from the heart and is unbelievably generous! We went for the off menu dishes, we had 5 total dishes and dessert, she even asked at dish 4 if I was still hungry, (I was) 5 lavante beer was around 20 25e and the total price was 51e. The one star reviewers need to lighten up as this place is a real hidden gem!
