Aperitto Resto Bar — Restaurant in Zakynthos Municipality

We had a delightful birthday dinner here at Aperitto. After very conveniently having made a reservation on the website, asking for a sea view table, we were seated at a lovely table, with an amazing view on the Ionian sea, and the high quality design of the restaurant.

This restaurant positions itself as a fine restaurant among other Greek restaurants, and in reality, it is fine.

It all starts with the high quality, soft, pleasant background music, followed by the friendly and kind staff, that all smile, and do their job smoothly.

The menu is very clear, beautiful and uncluttered, and the separate drinks card is very highly detailed, with a very broad range of various wines, and even features a detailed description of the various wine regions in Greece and the local wines produced there.

All in all, you can see the quality of this restaurant in everything: the design of the restaurant, the menus, the plates, and cutlery. A point of improvement are the seat cushions: after a nice evening the bottom of your thighs is very sweaty. A different kind of material could be used.

The appetizers were brought on beautiful 'plates' (some kind of thin black stone), and were nicely presented with tiny red pepper and salt. Their taste was very good and fresh.

All the while we were enjoying the incredible view on the sea, which is really really amazing.

The main course was very liked by everybody (3 people); we had salmon pasta, and two times the ribeye with Jack Daniels sauce. Everybody was impressed by the taste of the food, which was very good, and fresh. The pasta was fresh and very tasty. The ribeyes were quite tasty, and cooked as ordered (medium). The slices could be a bit thicker, however. The Jack Daniels sauce was simply too delicious: I have seldom tasted such good sauce. The same goes for the oven baked potatoes served along side, which were full of flavour and crunchy.

For dessert, we ordered the Chocolate Creme Brulee, with caramelized banana and vanilla ice cream. Once again, it was outstandingly tasty, and featured very interesting tastes. The Creme Brulee was very nice and the vanilla ice cream was veeeery flavourful. Delightful!

And the best part is: this amazing quality and fine dining comes at a very pleasant price. For the aforementioned, along with three glasses of Rose wine and a bottle of water, we paid 112 euros.

All in all, this evening was nothing short of perfect! Thank you very much, Aperitto! Keep...

The place looked lovely, so my girlfriend and I sat at the table with a nice view. Immediately we were placed to another location because we did not have a reservation...but we thought "okay" and ordered 2 beers. There was now a speaker with loud music right next to our table, so we decided that we will no eat here. After asking us three times if we have decided for our food yet, the supervisor came to us and said that he has to move us to "the drinking area". Needless to say, I was shocked. He demanded that we take our drinks and walk to that area in front of all the people which started staring at us because the guy was making a scene. He did not allow us to drink our beers at the table, even though there were at least 7 empty tables around us. He completely ignored my complaints and to make matters worse he even made fun of us in a passive-aggressive way. In the end when I paid for the drinks (6 euros for two small beers), he returned me a fake 2 eur coin, which I could not use in my country. A good location does not make...

Our first meal on the island, and wow I can honestly say we had a amazing evening and the food was on another level for price. We were a party of 8 we were very much looked after. The serving staff were all super friendly. The food was plenty in portions and was amazing, I (we) would highly recommend this restaurant and my biggest top tip if you are a party of 4+ like a lot of restaurants in the area book in advance as we did and pop down during the day. The restaurant is always busy which is another great sign. The views overlook the med and when the moon is out they bring out a telescope for everyone to look through. Value was also amazing and did not feel in any way that it was expensive. Top Pic for the Agios...
