I think I am lucky to say, that I have visited a lot of restaurants in my life, so based on that I can say, that it was the worst experience of my life. We were with the Grand Tours travel agency, so we had a menu, on which there was a couple of appetizers, main courses and a drink. I asked for a Fanta Lemon, they brought something totally different. The appetizers were okay, but for the main course intead of mussel they brought us octopus (which tasted awful because of the seasoning). I mentioned them that it is NOT what we asked for, and then the waiter didn’t offer us a solution, but told us that the kitchen made ‘ a little bit mistake’ and said ‘but you like octopus, don’t you?’. But the paying was the worst part. We told them we would like to pay, we were waiting through more than 30 minutes only for the bill, we asked 4 different waiters that we’d like to pay and leave, and they totally ignored us. Come here if you’d like them to surprise you with food you didn’t ask for and if you’d like to appear to the waiters as if you’d be invisible :))
Ps.: today, a couple of days later we had to go back because of our travel agency, and we even wanted to get some appetizer. Read moreThis has been one of our favourite meals out in Zante. The location, food, service, atmosphere, price, all perfect. We ordered our food within 15 mins of sitting down, and the waiters and waitresses were more than happy to talk us through the menu and help us decide. For starters we decided on the bread and butter, it was amazing, toasted local bread with a super creamy garlic butter, and for mains I chose the Kokkinisto (beef in a tomato/red wine sauce) which ended up to be a great choice as I really enjoyed it, I do struggle eating meat that I haven’t prepared and cooked myself but I really did enjoy this meal. It was another humongous plate full of beef, chips and rice, but very tasty. My partner order the Lamb Kleftiko, which they put on a show when serving it to us. It comes in foil and they place it over flames table side. This added so much fun and excitement to our meal, and made us think about how amazing the chefs are to be serving table side without checking it, they are very well trained and excellent cooks. Read moreWe have been twice this week. The first lunchtime meal was excellent with tasty food and good service. The chicken gyros and sea bream were superb. But. We went again 3 days later and it was like a different restaurant. The food took a long time to be served and required chasing. When it was served it was universally terrible. The same sea bream was over cooked with no sauce or seasoning. All the salad served with the meals had wilted and turned brown. The pork gyros were cold. When we complained we were told that the fish took longer to cook and meant the other food went cold, which is an inexcusable excuse for any restaurant. They did offer a 10% discount but the food was terrible. We suspect the normal chef was not available and they were stuck with someone untrained to cook. ...
