The lady serving is so lovely, warm and she'l make you smile. I wish we would've had found this gem earlier.
The prices are more reasonable than every other place we checked.
The place is very cute, has a nice atmosphere and a relaxing vibe, also is themed with lemons, even the parking space.
There are a few cats, they were cute and nice, except for 2 that started a fight under our table (byt we didn't mind, as I am used to cats)
For food we had: Appetisers: -Tzatziki with pita breat - very good, I wanted to try it as it was on my nucket list, I even got some good olives. cheese pie, were good and tasty, would highly recommend meat balls with tomatoes sauce, if you are balkan or italian, you are used to this dish, but it is very good.
Mains: -Rabbit -it comes with potatoes, rice. But i want to say that it was so tender and the taste is something from another world. I never ate a better rabbit in my life and I would highly recommend this. -Shrimps with garlic also come with potatoes, good, tasty, good portion size. Moussaka, comes with potatoes and a side salad, it is very good and tasty, kinda light and with prominent eggplant taste (a lasagna with eggplants).
Drinks: Smoothie - very good Coktails - very cheap, 5 euro a cocktail is a bargain here
Dessert: Baklava- good, not as good as in Turkey Lemon pie - good Cheesecake - ok
They did not have caramel cream :(
Our total was 86.5 for 3 appetisers, 3 mains, 3 deserts...
Read more5/5 stars. I rarely give that kind of review, but this establishment deserves it! Locally owned restaurant, the staff is incredibly kind and joyful. The atmosphere is amazing with lemon trees within the restaurant! We were told by locals that this is the place they go to for a nice meal. We were not disappointed, it is a bit far from the main road (10-15min walk), but it is worth it as there are not many tourists! We went twice so far, and we will definitely go at least a third time before leaving the island. First time, we had the Greek salad, fried sole, mixed grill plate (the best on the island) and the baklava with ice cream. Food was tasty, fresh and good portion (we had leftovers). Second time, we had the Tzatziki. OMG. It was amazing. So tasty. It is the best Tzatziki on the Island. In other restaurants, you often taste a lot of garlic from their Tzatziki, not this one. Fresh, fluffy, it melts in your mouth. We also had the fried calamari and grilled octopus. Obviously, the fried calamari was like anything we had before. I did not have much hope for the grilled octopus, as I was always disappointed by that dish elsewhere. Boy, was I wrong! It was so tasty. Grilled to perfection, with olive oil and a bit of spices... It was...
Read moreNot sure why this has anywhere near the rating it has. Although the setting is quite pretty (tables surrounded by lemon trees), the service was quite slow even though it was maybe only a third full. We stood wandering around near the counter when we first arrived for about five minutes with most of the staff trying not to make eye contact before anyone helped us. To be fair to them outside of that the staff were reasonably friendly but food took quite a while to come (even the bread and tsatziki, although it was quite tasty, took over 20 mins), the “fresh” swordfish I had, I’m pretty sure, from the shape and way it was so neatly filleted had come from the freezer and tasted pretty bland, more like a dry tuna steak. May have been overcooked if it was fresh. My girlfriend’s pizza was thick with cheese and the ingredients pretty bland too.
It wasn’t awful by any means, it isn’t overly expensive either but was pretty underwhelming given the ratings and some of the reviews, there are definitely places with better service, food and environment...
