Upon entering the establishment, I was immediately struck by its elegant ambiance—a high-end aesthetic that promised a memorable dining experience. The service did not disappoint; the staff were attentive and offered thoughtful recommendations. The meal itself was a testament to the quality of the kitchen. I indulged in a spit-roasted, Greek-raised lamb paired with creamy mashed potatoes, while my companion opted for a hearty beef stew, also accompanied by mashed potatoes. Both dishes were prepared with care and skill, and the flavors were exquisite.
For dessert, we shared a refreshing ice cream, and our drinks—a large bottle of mineral water and a juice—complemented the meal perfectly. The final bill came to about 40 euros, a remarkably reasonable price considering the quality of the food and the upscale setting.
However, the experience was not without minor hiccups. When I requested the bill from one waiter, it seemed to have slipped his mind, necessitating a second request from another waiter, who then directed me to pay at the register. This felt slightly out of place given the restaurant's otherwise high standards. Additionally, the paper tablecloths, while likely a practical choice, seemed a touch incongruous with the restaurant's refined atmosphere.
Despite these small quirks, I would highly recommend this restaurant and am already looking forward to my next visit. I also tried their pizza for takeaway the day before, which was exceptionally tasty. The staff's friendly banter and their effort to remember their guests only added to the charm, reinforcing my confidence in the delightful service...
Read moreOrdered a starter (eggplant dip) which was good and a souvlaki and lamb on the spit for mains. Souvlaki was good but the lamb!, it consisted of bones with a bit of meat and the main ‘piece’ (see picture) was just bone! It looked like someone’s leftover but I wanted to think it was just a bone left after hacking off the meat at the spit. The by the time I got to eating the main the waiters were no longer around since we were on the upper level. Tried to make the best of it and thankfully my wife gave me some meat from her souvlaki. But I was very disappointed with the lamb and after about 45min with no waiter in sight or who paid attention, we decided to leave. I asked for the manager who refused to accept my complaint. He said it was too late to complain and I should have done so when I got the food. Maybe I should have but as I said no waiters around. Anyway he was very rude and he and the waiter did their best to embarrass me by saying I was not being honest and then that since I’m not Greek so I don’t know how to eat lamb. What cheek. Waiter offered not to charge me for the lamb and I told him that I wasn’t after a refund but some understanding. The refund consisted of charging me the full amount on my card and placing the cash amount of my main on the counter. We left deeply disappointed more by the atrocious ‘customer service’ than the abysmal food. This place never heard of the phrase ‘the customer is...

The Windmill Restaurant's atmosphere transitioned from a relaxing lunch spot to a romantic setting, perfect for an intimate dinner.
To end the culinary journey on a sweet note, I savored a delectable selection of Greek desserts. The Baklava, with its layers of honey-soaked phyllo pastry and crushed nuts, was a heavenly treat that left me wanting more. The delicate Loukoumades, golden fried dough balls drizzled with honey and cinnamon, were a delightful indulgence.
