We reached there at dinner time and were impressed by the view (seafront) so we've decided ro stay, considering also the rating we saw on google. The service was slow-we waited a lot to have our order taken and even more to bring us the food. I am a salad lover and I try the special salad every restaurant I go to, but here, there was a very few range and nothing special about the one we chose. A bunch of choped leaves with no dresing and tasteless (lettuce, carrot, cabbage). The octopus we payed for was 18.5 eur and just a limb cut in two,a lot less than what I have eaten a day before( I like to try the octopus when I visit greek Islands). The plating was reckless with no regard for esthetics. Even an expensive dish (appetizer) as the octopus was put in a very small plate,.on top of cabbage you could hardly cut without making a mess around the plate. I mean, I know the portion was a lot less than from other restaurants and needed to look bigger in a smaller plate, but it was really uncomfortable for me. Also, the shrimp saganaky was just a soup, just a shadow of feta cheese, with some frozen shrimps (at least this is what it tasted like). Pros: the tzatziki was good, the wonderful seasight and the friendly staff, even though extremely overwhealmed by the amount of people on the terrace. If they would make the changes and won't consider food just to fill the stomack but also tastier and with nicer plating,.plus reducing serving time, this place would have a lot...
Read moreA night I'll never forget. On one hand because this was the night I proposed to my fiancé on the other hand because the location, the ambiance and the service was absolutely perfect. I tried to mask my intention of proposing by organising the night as a special event for my dads birthday. The music in the restaurant is not too loud so even though we sat at a long table with eight people we could easily talk to everyone without raising our voices. Harry, our waiter knew everything about the kitchen and the options they have. He also recommended things that they didn't have on the menu, which worked brilliantly for those of us who lacked imagination. The food was really good. I recommend the Zakynthian beef and the red snapper, but if when I'll go back I'll let Harry decide. When we got to the restaurant there were a Happy birthday sign and some balloons hung at our table. They've impressed a cake with candles to bring for my dad and intended to sing happy birthday but knowing that I had other plans I had to decline this. Nevertheless I've appreciated their intention and effort and felt sorry to refuse them. In conclusion, I'd like to rate Agnadi with 5 stars for location, 5 stars for service, 5 stars for creativity and 5...
Read moreThe food of Kyra Dionysia at Agnadi is exceptional, hands down. I would eat anything this woman cooked without looking at the menu. Desserts? Try all of them. That is what we did and we loved them all! This is the Greek traditional food you are coming to Greece for. I had to go and thank her personally for the delicious and quality food we ate. This woman is a force of nature, cooking all these different dishes. It’s like you are eating at your beloved grandmother’s house. You need more reasons to eat here? The service is perfection, the view is out of this world, the menu has such variety there is no way you will not find something you like to eat, the price beyond normal for what you are getting. What more can someone ask for? My only regret is that I discovered this restaurant 1 day before I leave the island but I already booked a table for tomorrow so that my family and I enjoy one more time. Congratulations to all the staff and to you Kyria Dionysia I want to tell you that you are a Godess, I salute you, I’ve never eaten such a loykoymaki of a food....
