Porto Kaminia Beach Bar Restaurant — Restaurant in Zakynthos Municipality

I've tried this restaurant a few times in the past and it was quite decent. The pork steak is very good. The location is also lovely and there's ample room for the kids to play around. However I went back with my family tonight and ordered a pizza 🍕 which was horrible: champignons straight out of a can and an overall disgusting sour taste. I wouldn't be bothered to write a negative review since one bad dish shouldn't necessarily define a restaurant. The problem lies with the treatment of the customers who raise the problem and expect some professionalism from the owner. Though the waiter initially acknowledged that the pizza tasted weird, they never came back to us asking if they could maybe bring us smth else or merely apologize. They just chose to ignore us (we were the only ones there btw) until we asked for the bill. They actually charged us for the pizza and when we politely confronted the owner he simply said "well I ate it and I didn't mind the taste", whereas on the mushrooms, he acted surprised that we would even ask for fresh mushrooms instead of...

Honestly, this was our go-to-beach during our holiday. Very chill, as there was no annoying music, but many comfortable sunbeds as well as plenty of shade thanks to trees and umbrellas. You can choose between sunbeds near the beach or in the grass. A bit of a stony entry, but good swimming and some snorkeling.

They also provide good facilities, a shower to wash off the sea water, as well as a little changing hut if needed.

The wifi was also better than in our hotel.

They’ve also got yummy smoothies and friendly service.

The drive down might seem a bit steep, but nothing out of the ordinary for a Greek road and there is plenty parking available.

Minimum consumption was 5 euro p.p....

Beautiful vistas, excellent food and decent beach. Free parking and sun beds if you buy drinks from the bar. Nice atmosphere and vibes. Kids had chicken nuggets and sausages - smelled wonderful and was to their complete satisfaction. The special salad was really good, crispy, tangy from the balsamico, tartness from apples, sweet from sultanas, umami and salt from the cheese and pine - only point worth improving is the croutons. The croutons would be better if less sweet, preferably roasted in garlic and herbs and much crispier. Still - worth repeating. Best lunch in...
