I already had a feeling it might be a bad idea to eat Thai/Asian food in Guatemala… we went there for dinner and ordered Pad Thai and Khao Krap.
The Pad Thai was swimming in sauce that was way too intense (I think way too much tamarind paste).
The Khao Krap was made with some kind of milky rice – it partly tasted like rice pudding or a risotto.
Both dishes had very little to do with the original Thai versions.
Staff was super friendly though.

Now the food, the food is DELICIOUS!! I even stayed a little longer after lunch so I could order another dish. Every ingredient was fresh, plated beautifully, and the taste was great.
