Joe´s Grill Antigua Guatemala — Restaurant in Sacatepéquez

I have generally always liked Joe's because they make a decent cheese steak sandwich and the atmosphere of the place is pretty cool. But now I'm just disappointed. I made the mistake of ordering delivery today. I ordered a Western burger and onion rings. The burger was so overloaded with shredded onions and lettuce (I guess that's what it was) that the whole thing slid apart as soon as it was picked up, and although I did find some bacon in there, it was difficult to find the burger. Had to eat the thing in pieces with a knife and fork. And the onion rings were literally the worst I've ever had. They were so thickly coated with batter that not only were they not crispy, they were soft and floppy and, really, not in the same ballpark with onion rings. More like some kind of weird pastry. On top of all that, Joe's seems to have raised its prices significantly. Unfortunately, this meal is no justification for the higher prices and I just wasted a lot of...

Sounds like an all American joint, right? It is as far as burgers are concerned, but dont go if you struggle with spanish. It will take you 20 minutes just to get your order through to the waiter. Not their fault, but you would expect someone to be there to help with that in a place called Joe's in a tourist town. Some reviews said burgers are the actual size as in the pictures. I have a feeling these reviews were given by the people running the place, because that was far from the truth. Prices were outrageous. I mean, it was good, but at the end of the day a burger is just a burger. Average size burger, a very small portion of fries and a beverage cost me q118. Save your money and get a larger burger for a lot less elsewhere in Antigua like El Punto...

Fui el domingo 26/03/23 con mi esposa e hijo a desayunar, llegamos 15 minutos despues de la hora establecida para servir buffet (11:15) pero aun asi me dijeron que nos servirian, por la hora ya no habia variedad en el buffet asi que solo pedimos 2 omelettes y agarramos lo que todavia quedaba de comida, en jugo solo pudimos agarrar como 3 vasitos y ya no quisieron poner mas jugo de naranja, por ese motivo pedi 2 gaseosas, entendemos que por la hora ya no habia jugo pero por Q.75.00 quetzales que estamos pagando tendrian que habernos solucionado poniendonos un pichelito de jugo en nuestra mesa, pedi la cuenta y me viene un cargo de un buffet de niño, mi hijo tiene apenas 2 años 10 meses y solo porque mi esposa le compartio de su plato nos estaban cobrando un buffet de niño y me dijeron que no se podia compartir la comida, pedi que se me quitara dicho cobro y no quisieron, hasta las cansadas me lo quitaron de mala gana, señores pongan una nota de que edad se cobra el buffet, pongan de 5-12 años se cobra buffet de niño y de 12 en adelante se cobrara de adulto, pero como es posible que ustedes digan que no se pueda compartir la comida con un niño menor de 5 años? Buscare otra opción para desayunar pero...
