China China The Mallard — Restaurant in Forest

I used to order from here regularly but the last year I have had orders messed up multiple times by China China (both Mallard and Town). Wrong things being sent, microwaved old rice thats hard and plastic-tasting, half cooked/partially raw chicken that gave me food poisoning, etc. We decided to give them another chance after a few months in the hopes they had improved. I regret it immensely. What a waste of money, will never be ordering again.

I ordered sweet and sour chicken balls, and received some dark vinegar type sauce instead (pictured). I ordered ribs and received a box that is half bones with no meat on them. I ordered egg fried rice and received hardened day old rice reheated in a microwave and completely inedible. I ordered chicken in satay sauce and received a tub of sauce, a lot of pineapple pieces (shown separated into another container) and 6 measly pieces of chicken.

We did not eat anything as just the state of it gave us fears of food poisoning.

The only thing that was correct was the can of Coca Cola.

When I called up to complain, the employee wasn't able to understand me properly and misunderstood me. So I sent in a message to their Facebook asking for the management to call me back when they were available the next day.

The employee who couldn't understand me then proceeded to spam call me over 20 times afterwards until midnight.

Would stay away from this place. It used to be good but now their food is inedible, if you even get the correct thing...

Easily one of the best Chinese and Pizzerias on the Island.

Living around the corner, I always collect my orders and they are always ready and waiting.

Upon entering, you are always greeted with a smile (tried to get a name to mention) but yes, amazing service.

As for the food, I cannot fault it, it's always hot and they always try to cater to my needs when requested. The pizzas are, I think the best on the island and would easily choose this place over fancy Italian Pizzerias or Pizza Hut. Again Pizzas are hot, with a choice of three of your own toppings (Would recommend my Meat Feast of Italian Beef, Pepperoni and Salami). They have a lovely thin crust and flavoursome.

The Chinese food is equally as good and quantity.

I would fully recommend choosing this restaurant/take away as your next option and I believe you will not be disappointed.

If your looking for a proper chinese restaurant then this is the place to be! Food is authentic chinese quality, lots of choices including vegetarian! The place is big enough to accommodate groups of people or even an event! I'm glad I chose this place for our special day (baby shower) as it caters from small group to big event or even just an ordinary chinese night. The staff is excellent and exceeded what is expected of them. Very welcoming, helpful and happy people serving their customers with compassion! I couldn't thank them enough! I could give them a galaxy to rate...
