I'm giving two stars and that is generous I wish I could give no stars but I went with two for these reasons as a customer you will have a great experience from the staff probably not the food as when I was there someone found a slug in their food and was refused a refund by the manager at the time im sure the manager is no longer there a little context I was a employee for them and your probably thinking I'm trashing them for some sort of revenge but that isn't the case i went to sark from the united kingdom with no knowledge of how to do the job which was fine for the manager who said I would be trained I didn't know the pay and was working loads of hours in food preparation which wasn't part of my job description I would arrive a hour early every day unpaid ofcourse to clean up but four days later after moving my clothes into their staff house I was fired and made homeless on the island with no money to pay for the flight home I was stranded if it wasnt for the other businesses on the island helping me out by giving me work I would still be there stuck so pay day rolls around and I'm expecting at least a little to help with flights etc remember 4 days work for 40 quid that is 10 pound a day to start at 9 and finish by 6 with a split shift for lunch which was disgusting to pay someone I am very thankful for the other businesses like Nicole's restaurant and jimmy's carting without them I would still be homeless I am technically still owed money from this business for time rendered but I thought...
Read moreWe visited this restaurant after walking through the magnificent gardens of La Seigneurie. So glad we decided to stop for lunch. We found a delightful table outside on a lovely sunny afternoon and were served by a friendly and efficient waitress. I chose a crab salad to start and my girlfriend ordered a goat cheese salad. They came out quickly and were super fresh and delicious. The waitress informed us that the salad was grown in the vegetable garden onsite and you could definitely taste the freshness. Loved my entree and the serving size of the crab was certainly generous. My girlfriend raved about her salad also. The crumbed goats cheese looked very tasty, so much so I was even offered a bite. For mains I had a Pad Thai beef and my missus ordered the same with tofu. It wasn't a traditional pad Thai with rice noodles but served on egg noodles with a serve of vegetables and melt in your mouth marinated beef with chilli and peanuts. Super fresh, super tasty and great value at around 13 pound. We also had a bottle of Spanish red which went great with the Pad Thai. Overall a delightful and well priced lunch on this beautiful island we have enjoyed visiting so much. Hopefully we can...
Read moreDo not go here! Unfortunately, we had the same experience as others have shared, in that the staff and food were not acceptable. Upon being seated we were informed there was no Crab so we ordered the camembert, which we were then told they were out of that as well. We then ordered a bottle of wine and appetizers as our "Starters" and were going to order our main entrees when done. During that time, a small group was seated and they enjoyed a few lobsters but when we ordered our entrees they were out of lobster and that the group had "Pre-Ordered". While this may have been true, I'm sure if the group had "pre-ordered" then the chef would have ordered more for the other lunch and dinner customers... but what was really disapoointing is the staff totally ignored us rather than try to take our main orders. We finally ordered and recevied out entrees the lasagna was horribible. We spoke with another proprietor on the island and they confirmed that the main server did not think we were going to order enough to make it worth her time and she does this repeatedly to customers. Avoid this place...
