My recent visit to O'Learys at Budapest Airport was a delightful experience, one that pleasantly contrasts with the numerous negative reviews I had read prior. This restaurant proved to be an excellent spot to wait for our outbound flight, offering a comfortable and inviting atmosphere.
The quality of the food at O'Learys was a standout feature. We ordered a Caesar salad and a club sandwich, both of which were delicious and well-prepared. The ingredients tasted fresh, and the portions were satisfying. It's not always easy to find airport food that feels both indulgent and well-made, but O'Learys managed to strike this balance perfectly.
Another aspect worth mentioning is the pricing. Considering the often inflated prices at airport locations, O'Learys offered reasonable prices for their dishes, making our meal feel like good value for money.
The service at O'Learys also contributed to our positive experience. The staff was attentive and friendly, ensuring our meal was enjoyable and that we had everything we needed. Their efficiency was appreciated, especially when you're conscious of catching a flight.
In conclusion, O'Learys at Budapest Airport is a commendable dining option for travelers. With its combination of good quality food, reasonable pricing, and friendly service, it provides a pleasant and relaxing environment for those waiting for their flights. It certainly exceeded my expectations and offered a respite from the typical airport...
Read moreI would like to thank them for providing me with an unforgettable experience, as I have now encountered an establishment that I can speak of as the worst for the rest of my life. I don't even know where to begin with my criticisms. First of all, the waiters are not just inadequate in their jobs, but they also fall short in basic human relations, respect, and moral values. Particularly, the darker-hair waiter mistook the drink menu in front of me for a food menu and, when I asked for the drink menu, he flipped it over and threw it onto the table. When I reacted to this, he turned his back and walked away. His colleagues also behaved disrespectfully by looking away when we wanted to place an order. I have never encountered such a disrespectful team of waiters in my life.
Regarding the food, we only ordered French fries, which arrived cold and undercooked.
Lastly, it was particularly disrespectful that while there were about 20 people waiting at the door, there were dozens of empty tables inside the venue. The waiters' lack of attention to people complaining about this did not surprise us either.
They might be reaching the desired number of customers due to being one of the few bars at the airport, but this does not change the fact that this place is a disgraceful, disrespectful establishment.
I would love to give the worst establishment in history 0 points, but unfortunately, I have to...

I ask for a table and get seated, get the menu card, and only 1 minute passes before I get asked: Are you ready to order? Not just if I want a drink… if I am ready to order.. I haven’t even opened the main menu yet. I politely say no thank you and continue reading. Again one minute passes and a different waitress shows up: Are you ready to order? Anything to drink? I again say no thank you and continue reading.
Don’t worry it gets better. I shit you not, ONE more minute passes and can you guess what happens? Yes, I get asked for the third time by a different waitress: Are you ready to order, sir? This is just comical 😂
Once I’m ready to order, a waiter comes over, and I order a classic steak sirloin. Sounds delicious. My food arrives (check image) and this is what I receive. A small steak, mildly warm bernaise sauce in a plastic cup, fries that taste worse than McDonald’s, and some other stuff. The only way to enjoy your experience at this restaurant would be to drink 2 pints before eating anything. Then I’m sure the food would taste better.
So the big question. Would I recommend you to visit this restaurant? Absolutely not. Come on, Burger King does it better than this “fancy”...
