Demeter Borászat — Restaurant in Egri járás

I recently visited Demeter wine cellar in eger for a wine tasting, and it was absolutely fantastic! I wanted to try a variety of wines from the region, and I was pleasantly surprised by how accommodating and generous the staff was. The lady who guided me through the tasting was incredibly friendly, and curated a special wine tasting experience for me- it was an experience I’ll never forget! My absolute favorite was Hanga from the valley of wines, and I was blown away by its exceptional taste and quality. It was a perfect match to wines from California. What really stood out was the lady’s genuine hospitality - she wasn’t focused on making a sale, but just wanted me to have a great experience and enjoy the wines. Her warmth and passion for the wines really made the tasting extra special. I highly recommend visiting Demeter wine cellar if you are in Eger. With such a huge choice of wine cellars, I am very pleased that I called into this one! I had 'The Married Couple' tasting of one classic white and red - both really very good. And, because they sounded so interesting, I had a beetroot and a celery palinka too. The best palinka I have ever tasted! Ibi, who was serving, was extremely friendly and it was lovely talking with her. 3,200 HUF (£6.77) altogether, so also not expensive for such good quality. Absolutely recommended.

The owner is very cool, he invited us last year to the evening anniversary party of the winery when we were tasting the wine in the afternoon, and when we arrived in the evening the place was full but still he managed to find us a table to sit, they have great wines and tapas, and prices are below average which is great If you are going to a wine tasting, please avoid going by car :) taxis...
