Beware foreign visitors! We were scammed at this restaurant. Meals and drinks were really decent, waiters were attentive. For some reason once we finished meals, waiters stopped oaying attention to us. We wanted to get the bill yet no waiter was passing near our table for over half an hour. Now I believe that was deliberate. (when a person receives a bill at their table, they are more likely to check it thoroughly as opposed to having the bill printed at the bar and waiter immediately pulling out payment terminal to effect the payment) At some point I lost the patience and went to the bar to pay. I dont know the exchange rate and dont understand hungarian so I just paid the bill. Only home I noticed when I translated the bill that there are plenty of items we never ordered. I dont believe this was an honest mistake. We were 4 adults and they charged us for 7 main courses! While it is my fault that I paid the bill before translating individual items and making sure it is correct, I consider this highly dishonest and fraudulent. Great restaurant with excellent food. The location is just perfect... the restaurant is located the middle of the historical downtown. You can sit inside the restaurant or you can choose the outside patio and on the summer days I encourage you do that. The service fast and polite and the price range is okay. The food is excellent and delicious. On the menu you can find some traditional Hungarian cuisines, which is well handpicked by the chef (kudos to him/her). You can choose from huge selection of beers (many of them on taps) or you can try some really nice local wines.
