The only reason for giving 3 stars instead of two is that the staff is friendly and welcoming. The food was not good at all. We had a garlic soup - that tasted like made from some powder, fish cracklings - that were a bit soggy, a catfish "paprikás" with cottage cheese pasta - the fish was stale, not salty enough, the pasta overcooked and dull. The fish soup made of catfish that should be the speciality of the place was far worse than expected. Not to mention, the spicy green peppers served on the side were visibly not fresh, neither was the "Erős Pista" (a type of Hungarian spicy pepper mash). All in all, a huge disappointment, the food would be acceptable at a cheap shady roadside canteen maybe, but not on the main street at a place with a decent history. Definitely not...
