Ki szeretném emelni a jót is, mielőtt a lényegre térek. Egy továbbképzés alkalmával szálltunk meg Gyulán, nem első alkalommal. Ilyenkor összekötjük a hasznost a kellemessel. Ismerős ajánlotta a Várkonyi Bisztrót, és őszintén szólva, nagyon sajnálom, hogy ennyire rossz szájízzel (szó szerint) kellett távoznunk.

A Várkonyi Bisztró minden étele kifogástalanul van tálalva, és nagyon ízletes.

5.éve vagyok vegán, igaz, hogy szociális alkalmakkor, mikor nincs lehetőségem másra, tejtermékeket fogyasztani szoktam. Így történt ez a szóban forgó este is, amikor a Várkonyi Bisztróban vacsoráztunk negyedmagammal.

Az előétel nagyon finom volt (zöldségkrémleves), bár nem tükrözte 100% a menü leírását, gyönyörű, és finom tál étel volt. Megérkezett a főétel, és ekkor fordult meg a kocka. Rigatoni Al'Arrabiata tésztát rendeltem, mely recetúrája szerint San Marzano paradicsomból készült szószt, olívaolajat és fokhagymát foglal magában. Ez a menü leírása szerint annyiban tért el, hogy Pecorino sajttal tálalják (kérlek lásd a csatolt képeken).

Az első falatnál feltűnt, hogy a szósz füstös ízű, ami eleve meglepő volt, majd az első rágásnál egy idegen textúrára lettem figyelmes, és egyből a mosdóba rohantam, ahol a korábban elfogyasztott levessel együtt kijött minden. 5 teljes éve nem járt a számban hús, és had ne mondjam, nem volt kellemes élmény.

A legrosszabb az egész tapasztalatban az, hogy egyik ott dolgozó, felszolgáló, pultos, menedzser, szakács..., SENKI nem kért elnézést a kellemetlenségért, a hiba nem kerül sem szóban, sem másképp kompenzálásra, és én személy szerint az este hátralévő részét rosszullét kíséretében, étvágytalanul töltöttem. Nem beszélve róla, hogy az egész asztaltársaságunk kellemetlenül érezte magát a szituációban. Még csak magyarázatot sem kaptam, de amikor megkérdeztünk egy idősebb ott dolgozót, aki látszólag a műszakvezető- vagy más magasabb beosztású alkalmazott lehetett, annyit mondott, hogy hát a séf itt így csinálja.

A menün egyértelműen látszik, hogy nincs feltüntetve, hogy az eredeti recept modifikálva lenne. Ez most pont egy vegán-mizéria volt srácok. De éppen lehetett volna egy allergén is, ami nincs feltüntetve a menün, amiből akkora galiba is keletkezhet, hogy bezárják az éttermet.

Felháborítónak tartom nemcsak azt, hogy a menü teljesen hiteltelenül van összerakva, de azt méginkább, hogy az ott dolgozók nem csak edukálatlanok, de még csak nem is empatikusak egyáltalán. Ez ebben a szakmában úgy gondolom, hogy vízválasztó tud lenni.
