The portions are what you'd expect, not too much or too little, but the taste was so bad we didn't end up finishing it. The pasta was nauseatingly creamy and the cod tasted like it hadn't been seasoned at all, with the side vegetables soggy and limp without having any sort of texture or flavor. The pizza was decent, but it was a bit bland and was reminiscent the pizza I ate during college, which would've been fine if not for its price. The waiter was rude when answering about food choices, and frankly didn't seem to want to be there at all, which once again, is reasonable, but isn't very professional, especially for the atmosphere of the restraunt. The atmosphere itself was fine, I suppose. Overall, I don't consider the food to ever be worth the price of the restraunt (between $20-$60 per dish on average), and even with the nice atmosphere of the restraunt itself, who cares if the food is so terrible you're more...

I suggest double confirm your reservation.

Being the only restaurant in Hofn still open till 23:00, Osinn was my only choice. I made reservations for 22:00 one hour in advance, yet when arriving, the waiter said they could not host us because kitchen was just closed. If they told us one hour earlier at reservation, I would have other arrangements along the driving. The restaurant attitude was also an issue, they first insisted my reservation was 21:30(impossible as all our group heard my phone conversation ) so it was my fault, only later revealed because they closed kitchen last minute due to short staff.

While I totally understand things can happen, I’d wish they honestly explain and be more helpful. Do double confirm your reservation, find other backup food, there is chance of mess up and it will be explained as...

The food was absolutely delicious and the service was amazing. We had the reindeer meatballs and lobster soup for appetizers. For the main course we had the cod and the lobster pasta. For dessert we had the chocolate cake. My friend is not a huge fish fan but she loved the cod, it was flavored perfectly. As for me, I love all things lobster so my lobster soup and lobster pasta was absolutely delicious. I am a lover of moscato and it was the first restaurant in Iceland where I saw it on the menu and it was a great one. On top of the great food, our waitress was magnificent.
