The Chamber - A Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Agra

Went to this place for lunch on 17-Jun-2023 as part of our Taj mahal visit. Even though the place was quite deserted we didnt have much doubts about the quality of food and services as we trusted the previous google reviews. Hence we went ahead and placed the order, however we regretted it soon after as we had to wait abt 45mins for the food to arrive. Food tasted okay but found it to be drenched in oil. Anyway, we finished it up quite fast and paid the bill, which was actually a bit on the higher side. Later we got to know from our driver ( who was waiting in his car) that the food we ate was bought from outside, from a near by small restaurant , the name of which I dont want to reveal here. So whoever who intends to visit this place be aware that u may actually be eating a low cost food from a local restaurant and paying up higher bills...

I have been to this place twice now and I must say the food here is awsome! The first time I time had chicken stuffed with mushrooms and lahori chicken, both the dishes were delicious and superbly presented. The second time I wanted to try something fancy so I had their mezze platter, they served it with three kinds of dips which were a treat to the taste buds and the falafel n pita were no less. When we arrived at the restaurant, it was empty despite it being a Sunday. The seats were covered with dead flies and the air conditiining was switched on only after we asked for it. The food, when served, was bland and totally tasteless. I was with outstation guests and the experience was quite embarrassing for me and my family.
