I recently dined at Udupi Brindavan Vegetarian Restaurant, and their Mysore Masala Dosa and Idli were an absolute delight! The Mysore Masala Dosa was perfectly crisp, with a golden exterior that gave way to a flavorful, spicy potato filling, complemented by a generous spread of their signature chutney. The accompanying sambar was rich, aromatic, and packed with authentic South Indian flavors, making every bite a treat. The Idli was equally impressive—soft, fluffy, and melt-in-the-mouth, served steaming hot with a trio of chutneys (coconut, tomato, and mint) that added a burst of freshness. The sambar paired with the Idli was perfectly balanced, with just the right hint of tanginess and spice. The service was warm, and the ambiance transported me straight to South India with its vibrant yet cozy vibe. If you’re craving authentic South Indian cuisine, Udupi Brindavan Vegetarian Restaurant's Mysore Masala Dosa and Idli are a must-try! Highly recommend for a flavorful experience. 🌟

Visited this Udupi restaurant in Gandhi Nagar, Agra, craving some South Indian cuisine. The restaurant’s ambience is a highlight—pleasant, aesthetic, and inviting, making it a nice spot to dine in. We ordered the Udupi Special Thali (₹400 + Taxes) and a Butter Masala Dosa(250 + Taxes ) The food, however, was a letdown. The Udupi Special Thali was average at best, lacking the authentic South Indian flavors you’d expect from places like Bangalore or Chennai. The sambar, rasam, and veggie sides felt bland and didn’t capture the vibrant taste of traditional South Indian cuisine. Disappointingly, the thali didn’t include a dessert, despite the server promising it would be served later—it never arrived, and I forgot to follow up once I started eating. The Butter Masala Dosa was decent but nothing exceptional, especially when compared to other local spots like Bhagat Halwai, Anant Restaurant, or DeePee, where you can find tastier dosas for much lower prices. For the price of the thali, the quality and authenticity didn’t match up. Udupi either needs to elevate the food to justify the cost or lower their prices to reflect the average taste.

If you're looking for a fine dining restaurant with all sort of Indian and continental cuisine, this is the place for you. With the best in class good quality and quantity as well the place has an excellent service on table, moreover some various little gestures of hospitality makes you feel too delighted. The speciality of the restaurant lies in South Indian cuisine with great authenticity being brought to you. But, it doesn't mean you can't get North Indian or continental over here rather all types of cuisine are excellently prepared and served. I recently visited the place and witnessed that all the covid protocols are strictly followed with regular disinfection of surfaces. The service quality as well top notch!

From outside it appears to be a quiet place. But once you take the steps or lift to the first floor where the restaurant is, you ll find the place packed with people. At around 9 pm there was waiting and people were still coming. It has a seating capacity of about 60-70 persons. We ordered 1 Butter masala dosa which came promptly and was tasty, specifically the sambhar was outstanding. The thali came after 15 minutes, but the food was fresh simple and tasty. Dinner was followed by Buttermilk which was mildly spicy . Dinner ended with Rava Kesari which was mildly sweet and appeared fresh by taste. Quantity of food was good and cost Rs. 900 for 2 persons.

📸 Mini Idli (Rs190), Paneer Dosa(Rs330), South Indian Platter 🍱(Rs410) ☑️Quality & Quantity- 5/5 ☑️ Packaging- 4/5 Texture/filling/Taste etc- 5/5 ☑️Staff behaviour & Cleanliness- 5/5 Pointers⏩ So it was my take-away order from a formal dine-in restaurant. The ambience is quite and cool. The food was really awesome and you can taste the authentic level in their every bite. Tomato chutney was a come along surprise for me 😋and was kind of sour-sweet taste. A good place to visit when you crave for south indian food but a frequent visit might not be possible for all :) Do give it a try!
