Squid Restaurant — Restaurant in Andaman and Nicobar Islands

I was out to explore the streets of havelock when I noticed this place and thought of trying after seeing the reviews on google but my visit to this restaurant left me thoroughly disappointed due to many reasons : unavailablity of crab or prawns or any or other seafood, the behavior of the staff.abd discrepancy in their bill. From the moment we walked in, the servers seemed more interested in chatting amongst themselves than attending to customers. We ordered for prawn Biryani and crispy squid which was a recommendation from their end and it was taste less, the prawns were so tiny, the biryani rice was only colour and lacked all the flavours, they don’t even know how to make crispy squid or fried calamari was all in all this place was a huge dissapointment and lastly when you visit here please ask them to provide you the new menu which has the original pricing, otherwise they show us the old menu which has low price such as 350 for Biryani and then make a bill which as 480 for Biryani and later justifies by showing updated prices, very sharp of the lady sitting at the billing also they never mention it but when confronted about the bill they gave us free drop for which I gave a 2 star❤️ but this place really need to justify the name Squid restaurant by making good...

Based on my recent visit: Pros: 1.decent seating arrangement 2.good hygiene

Cons: 1.they charge you not on price of product but on their apparent perception of your ability to pay.e.g. we had ordered a grilled fish which was charged@900 but the same product same size was priced@500 to one of our co customers having dinner simultaneously.we could have raised this issue but at the end he had told us the price at the time of ordering and we realised this differential pricing while having dinner,moreover the grilled fish later turned out to be rather a gravy fish.

2.avoid ordering on ala-carte here as their sole purpose is to cut your pockets.have food here only if it comes under your tour package as agreed with tour operator.

You people really won't believe,but the best food iv had is here ..don't go on ambience or surrounding...but we have stayed at sea shell, sandy waves..and been to other eating joints near by ..but this place is so reasonable and the taste is so good... yummy...they even provide amazing wifi connectivity ...and hospitality is so good ...the main owner lady n probably her daughter...such sweetheart..serve with so much love n happy faces...it ll make ur evening.....❤️ We got so bored ..of the same taste everywhere...but this place...trust me do have here ..atleast one meal... U ll get to know urself 😍 Chilli paneer ..main course all varieties amazing...💓💓 God bless them..I wish this place...
