If you ever find yourself on Havelock Island, Full Moon Cafe is an absolute must-visit. This place is like paradise on Earth—an unforgettable combination of stunning views and the best food you’ll ever have. Hands down the best place to eat on the island.
Let’s talk food. The Piri Piri Prawns with herbed rice is a dish I’ll dream about for a long time. The prawns are perfectly seasoned, just the right amount of spice, and paired with fragrant rice that complements the dish perfectly. And the Butter Garlic Prawns with rice—rich, indulgent, and absolutely bursting with flavor. Every bite is heavenly.
For breakfast, they serve up a combo that pairs wonderfully with the serene view of the crystal-clear blue waters. There's something magical about enjoying a hot, delicious meal while looking out at the sea. It's the kind of experience that makes you feel truly at peace.
And if you have a sweet tooth, the Banoffee Pie here is hands down the best I’ve ever had. It’s the perfect balance of creamy, sweet, and just a touch of indulgence—it’s truly to die for.
The atmosphere at Full Moon Cafe is as inviting as the food itself, making it a perfect spot to relax and soak in the island vibes. Whether you're there for a leisurely breakfast, a delicious lunch, or a sunset dinner, it’s the kind of place you won’t...
Read moreThe Good: Definitely the ambiance and vibe. Located at beachside with both indoor and outdoor siting options. Well decorated shack look and feel.
The underwhelming: Taste of food is mediocre at best. This is purely from my experience of Dinner menu. Quality has deteriorated over the years. Have visited this cafe around 2017-18 also and food used to be good at that time. Definitely not worth the hype and such good reviews anymore. Ordered pasta which was average in taste, Nothing extraordinary.
The bad: Price is too much for the portions and quality they offer. Ordered Mezze platter and can say it was one of the worst Mezze i have ever tasted. The grilled peppers and Babaganoush had gone bad and tasted foul. Even server agreed that something is wrong with Peppers upon tasting. It was a joke that they discounted Rs 70 from whooping Rs 650 platter price after serving a stale dish. Hummus and breads didn’t live up to expectations either. Anyone who has never had an authentic Mediterranean mezze may like it but not everyone can be fooled by the astonishingly high price and fancy words on the menu.
I hope they introspect and improve the quality of food but I don’t have high hopes since people are still visiting after reading so many...

Forget everything you know about rated restaurants. This place doesn't need a review; it needs to be felt.
Tucked away on a pristine stretch of sand, this is arguably the best shack in the Andamans for one simple reason: it understands its purpose. It exists not to impress, but to absorb. The view is a panoramic postcard of turquoise water and white sand, with nothing but the sound of gentle waves and the whisper of casuarina trees.
The atmosphere is astonishingly calm. It’s the kind of place where you sink into a rustic wooden chair, feel the sea breeze, and literally forget to check the time. Your phone becomes a camera, and then a paperweight. Hours melt away between pages of a book, quiet conversation, and simply gazing at the horizon.
They serve water in old, repurposed liquor bottles—a perfect symbol of its charming, unpretentious soul. They don't serve alcohol, but they welcome you to bring your own. There's a profound peace in sipping your own drink, feeling the sand between your toes, with no rush and no bill to hurry you along.
Don't come for the food; come for the feeling. Come to remember what quiet sounds like. This isn't just a shack; it's a...
