I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but the food at the Punjabi Dhaba at Tirupati Railway Station deserves a serious warning to fellow travelers.
First of all, the hygiene is shockingly bad – the tables were sticky, the floor looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in days, and the kitchen was openly visible and not at all reassuring.
We ordered a simple meal – roti, dal, and a paneer dish. What we got was oily, tasteless, and borderline inedible. The dal was watery and smelled off, and the paneer looked and tasted like it had been reheated multiple times. Even the rotis were half-cooked and rubbery.
