Worst ever Saravana Bhavan hotel branch eve managed No work ethics for the supervisor or cashier No respect towards their servers Food doesn't taste like the trademark Saravana Bhavan food.
I ordered chole poori andveg fried rice with no beans. They gave us chana masala with poori and oily non tasty fried rice.
The person opposite to me ordered curd rice and it was salty. Upon asking the service person, he responded, everyone is eating it without any complaint. We asked him to taste and he confirmed its salty.
Meanwhile, the service person's supervisor slapped one of the servers is fron of the whole restaurant coz he did not handle the bill properly.
I reordered, for takeaway, my fried rice this time instructing once again to make it less oily and lil tastier. When I checked what he packed, it was still oily and looked pale. As I was hungry, I went ahead to pay off and get out of there. But, at the counter, the cashier was behaving rudely with the above server an was in so much frustration that he hadn't cared I was waiting to pay. I waiting for him to cam down to handover cash an leave except that I didn't have correct amount to exchange for change in return. Hadn't take my payment but started taking payments for other bills. I asked if he'd take the cash and return the change. He was shouting back at me and was rudely advising to wait. I couldn't take that idiotic self-less behavior over there and I left.
I was so frustrated that I lost my hunger. It's 12.30am, 3 hours past this incident and I still can't find some peace with what happeed.
I thought I'll write something in everyone's benefit who goes to this place expecting quality food an service only to suggest they...

The restaurant is renowned for its well-prepared dosas, idlis, vadas, and other South Indian specialties, all served fresh and piping hot. The food is rich in flavor and maintains a level of authenticity that’s hard to beat, which explains the steady crowd of locals, travelers, and pilgrims. Prices are affordable, making it a great value for the quality of food offered.
One of the standout features is the AC lounge on the first floor, providing a cool, comfortable space to enjoy your meal. This air-conditioned area is a blessing, especially during Tirupati's hot and humid days, allowing guests to relax and take a break from the bustling crowds below. The lounge adds a touch of comfort and makes the dining experience even more enjoyable, especially for families and those looking for a peaceful meal.
The location is also ideal, as you can conveniently catch a direct bus to Tirumala or Vinayak Mandir from the adjacent bus stand, which is incredibly convenient for devotees who plan to visit these sacred sites after a satisfying meal. Friendly staff and quick service further enhance the experience. Overall, Hotel Sarwana Bhawan is a must-visit for its delicious food, comfortable atmosphere, and...
Read moreWORST, is an understatement to describe this restaurant. Have been to a ton of Saravana Bhavan hotels across South India before, but this one falls even below the zero line when comparing the taste and their rates.
Let me put my experience here. I ordered a paneer butter masala, Malai kofta and chappatis. Paneer butter masala was average, it lacked flavor and all it had was spice. Malai kofta was too salty and the kofta was burnt instead of frying. Next comes the main disappointment, pricing of chappatis; They charge rs 55 for 2 chappatis and curry (no disappointments yet), but then when I got my bill I was shocked to see that I was charged 55 for the set of chappatis I ordered! When I asked the server regarding it he replied "I didn't give you the curry just cuz it will be wasted if I give you" So, I see this hotel as a pure business one rather than something trynna provide good food service. My Verdict: Never have North Indian dishes from here, I...
