I rarely write negative reviews, but this experience deserves to be shared.
From the moment I walked into the restaurant, the vibe felt off. The host barely acknowledged us, didn’t smile, and just pointed us to a table like we were an inconvenience. We waited over 15 minutes before a server even came to our table, and when they did, they acted like we were ruining their day just by being there.
We ordered a couple of dishes that sounded decent on the menu, but what we got was far from edible. My soup was lukewarm and clearly microwaved. My friend’s hakka noodles looked like it had been half boiled and it tasted as bland as cardboard.
To make things worse, the server never came back to check on us — no water refills, no asking if the food was okay. We had to flag someone down just to get the check. When we politely mentioned the issues with the food, the response was an eye-roll and a half-hearted “I’ll tell the kitchen.”
No apology. No compensation. Just a feeling that we were being rushed out so they could turn the table.
Honestly, I’ve had better meals from road side food stalls , and better service . This place needs a serious lesson in hospitality, food quality, and basic respect for...
Read moreI really like this restaurant. I often order food from here through Swiggy or Zomato. I haven’t tried many dishes yet, but I really love their Paneer Fry-bit Biryani.
Let me start with the pros. The ambience is very nice. There’s a TV and music, so we can enjoy while eating. The outside view is also good, which I liked a lot. The food is tasty, and I really enjoy it most of the time.
Now, the cons. I didn’t like the behavior of some staff members. Not all, but one or two were not polite. When we gave the order, they just nodded and left, then forgot it. That was a bad experience. Also, the food taste is not always the same. I order often, and sometimes the food is very tasty, but sometimes it’s not good at all. I think it depends on who the chef is that day.
Overall, the prices are reasonable. If you want to try, you can. It’s good for family outings too. They even have a separate family seating area in the middle of...
Read moreMixed Experience at Hyggee Restaurant, Kakinada
I’ve been to Hyggee Multi Cuisine Restaurant a few times before and always had a good impression—but unfortunately, this time was a bit underwhelming. I ordered the Apollo Fish and Butter Chicken, dishes I’ve enjoyed here in the past, but this time they lacked the flavor and quality I was expecting.
The Apollo Fish felt overcooked and chewy, and the Butter Chicken was too tangy with not enough creaminess. It seemed like the usual consistency and richness in flavor were missing.
That said, the ambiance was still pleasant, and the staff were polite. I really hope this was just an off day because Hyggee has previously been one of my favorite spots in Kakinada.

Would recommend the place, but I hope they maintain their...
