Kanhaji Restaurant is a lovely little place that thrives purely on word of mouth, and for good reason — the food is genuinely good and keeps pulling you back. I'm a frequent visitor, and every time I go, I leave with a satisfied stomach and a happy heart.

Let me start with my absolute favorites: 👉 Masala Papad – hands down, the best I’ve had anywhere. Crispy, perfectly spiced, and just hits the right spot. 👉 Methi Chaman – Oh my god, this dish is a must-try! Rich, flavorful, and prepared with love — it’s something you’ll end up craving again and again.

The owner, Mr. Sunil, does a commendable job in personally monitoring the restaurant. His presence definitely adds to the overall experience and ensures the place runs smoothly.

However, there's room for improvement, especially with the staff grooming – a little training and better presentation would elevate the experience to a higher level. Also, the table cleanliness could be more consistent. The staff should take more care in keeping the tables neat, especially during busy hours.

Overall, Kanhaji Restaurant is a hidden gem for food lovers. Go for the taste, and stay for the warmth. With a bit more attention to hygiene and staff training, it could easily become a top favorite...

Not recommended for online order specially for Train. I paid 280 rupees for veg thali and people ordered veg thali from Pantry in 140 rupees (approx) and I was disappointed after paying double. Packing was same as train veg tray No cutlery given (only 1 small spoon on rice that we get from train pantry tray also) Jeera rice was hard like normal train pantry rice Roti was burnt as we get from train pantry Very hard to open the tray Food was cold Taste was not good in that amount I paid

In 280 rupees, could have given a cutlery and a water pouch and better packing in silver foils and covers to keep the food warm.

Apart from jeera rice, I felt like I paid double and having pantry car food. Pantry tray also give same items (roti, rice, pickle, dal, curry, sweet, curd) and quantity food in just 140 rupees or 160 rupees. Why to pay double for similar food, taste and quantity? I wont recommend this for ordering from train.

This is by far the best veg restaurant in Vizag. I visited there thrice during my 5 days stay at Vizag and every time it was unparallel considering the cost and food quality. My 2 kids too enjoyed the food very much as they customised the food as per our requirement. Food quality and quantity is perhaps better than many so called star restaurants. We took the food for the train also on the last day of our tour.Best thing you would get is personalized attention from a very well behaved team of professionals. I would like to request the owner Sunil Ji to provide the services in other towns also as truly we don't get this type of food quality and ambience in most of the places.
