Pizza Hut | Arundelpet, Guntur — Restaurant in Andhra Pradesh

First of all, let me say, Pizza Hut is one of my favorites when we visited USA sometime ago. I had pizzas in many places in both US and also here in Andhra but very few come close in taste to what they serve in Pizza Hut. Imagine my excitement when they were opening a franchise in my hometown.

Here's my honest experience and constructive criticism for their Arundelpet branch in Guntur.

Dine-in experience: 3 stars

My dine-in experience with Pizza Hut in Arundelpet, Guntur, was average. Food tasted great! Service and reception staff are definitely friendly. No complaints there.

It was the temperature inside the restaurant that was the problem. Because of Pizza Hut's open kitchen concept, heat from the kitchen was radiating into the dining area, making it hot and sultry. Multiple ACs were running at 24°C. But come on, this is Guntur we are talking about which is famous for being humid all year round. We requested the staff to turn the AC to a lower temperature. They were friendly but unfortunately they couldn't help us in this matter. We requested to speak with the Manager about it but they said in a franchise, staff are the managers.

Overall, it was not fun eating hot pizza in a hot room.

Suggestion: they should probably consider arranging a transparent curtain or something between dining and kitchen areas.

Delivery experience: 2 stars

Since we had a bad experience dining in, I decided to order delivery from Pizza Hut, so I may enjoy eating hot pizza at home with the AC on. Well, for some reason, they don't deliver to my address from their app, so, I ordered for delivery on Zomato.

Ordered two personal sized pan pizzas. And, this actually makes me sad to write this.

A. Instead of cheese, they put some white colored cream cheese topping. It tasted like cheap butter and was bad.

B. Both the pizzas were not cooked properly. Their bases were still white. Usually, when we order food on Zomato, food is atleast warm by the time of delivery. I know this because I had ordered on Zomato from the same Pizza Hut location 3 weeks prior. This time, both pizzas were at room temperature. A sign that they were not cooked thoroughly.

On the whole, the quality of food delivered was disappointing.

Suggestion: please improve food quality for deliveries.

C. I tried to call Pizza Hut from the Zomato app to explain the delivered food situation. But the phone number they have in Zomato for Pizza Hut Arundelpet is wrong. Some random guy is picking up the call and saying this is wrong number.

Suggestion: please update accurate phone number for Pizza Hut Arundelpet location in Zomato app.

In conclusion, please correct these small glitches and I am willing to give 5 out of 5 stars for Pizza Hut any day.

I'm stoked to see such good reviews for this place, where half of them are just for brownie with icecream and garlic bread. We went to this store on an afternoon in March, and the aircon wasn't sufficient enough to keep the place cool. We ordered a normal combo worth around Rs. 1100 with cheesy fries. The staff denied making pizzas on a thin crust, giving some lame reply. My mum was tempted to order another "Friday Combo" which says eat as much as up to 6 pizzas for only 300. We went to the counter and ordered (payed) this combo as well. The pizzas we got in the 1st combo were okay, the fries had parmesan powder sprinkled on them (we were expecting something like a cheese melt looking at the description). The staff served the first pizza from second combo and then giggled at us saying that all the 6 pizzas should be eaten by 1 person. What a joke and is this for real!! I never thought 1 person could eat 6 pizzas. Also, their promotions are deceiving, you get better pizza at normal bakeries than this store. The manager is conditioning the staff not to serve pizzas as per customer's request. The staff are young, they're not cheerful, they just have a very sarcastic smile on their face which indeed felt like customers are poor or fools buying their promotions. I don't think they maintaining it properly, it was so hot inside we were literally felt uncomfortable. What is the problem to keep the airconditioner on basically they try to save money on electricity.

Food is another whole other story for a classic cheese pizza i guess it's norm to use mozzarella or cheddar cheese when you take a bite it will cut right there but it this case all the cheese will come in one bite and rest you only eat pizza bread. For pizza bread you don't have to pay that much money.

Taking orders take forever.

Place looks good, but lot of housefly inside place which makes the experience bad.

Workers need to talkitive not like what they are doing like now. And no need attitude need care fo customers.
