I’m sharing my personal experience - (wish I could give Minus Rating than 1 star) We entered into restaurant after a long travel to Tirumala Tirupati, after Mundanam etc. went for lunch in Royal sarangee (Thought it’s Sarvana Bhavan), we were tide, walking under the Sun ☀️! Staff at entrance door busy in non related task without a welcome or greet. A) we are 5 of two families entered B) waited for a table to empty (took couple minutes - it’s understandable during lunchtime), C) Looked and found a cleaning staff, asked to make the table ready. D) Upon ready and we sat, the Waiter came to take order E) This process might took 10-12minutes - THEN a bouncer looking person came (didn’t touch us but did almost that with his face expressions), rudely said how you came in without permission???!???!! We all 🫢, and asked ourselves, why and where we should take permission? It’s a paid restaurant, doors opened, no one requested us to wait when we are entering with our bag. After we sat this rude and rough gentleman came, steering at us very unfriendly said people are waiting outside, how you sat and ordering without informing him!!! We replied, no one informed at gate about Que and waiting time!! It’s not fair to expect us to go after we sat, if it was informed at entrance - we could choose to wait or go another restaurant or go to temple trust food!! He stood in front of us like monster👿, steering, dictated by showing his hand towards door to vacate the table, said wait outside in mid afternoon! As he was extremely unpleasant, I asked other staff to call manager since the staff at the door didn’t inform us to wait, not doubt their job, the 👹 replied I’m the owner!! After nearly 25minutes entering in, base on previous experience at other cities, we were so disappointed when hungry 🤤! we then walked into temple’s lunch next to it, had our Punya and blessed Lunch hardly in 30minutes. Evening we had Yummy snacks next to it I guess it’s Sai Tiffins.. it’s a self service, plenty of sitting space, hot badam milk served, all varieties of dosas, Idly other tiffins available too, they were quick, friendly prices, MOST IMPORTANT served with courtesy! So I will never go here again n spoil our day with this fancy look. I guess the Temple Management should qualify the business owners, permit only devotee friendly operators at 7 hills. Or a kind request to extend additional space to Shri Vengamamba trust foe Free food, where devotees get good and blessed food. It’s my Personal Experience on this occasion at this particular restaurant, until this I use live and enjoy traditional Sarvana food, we are frequent visitors too. I thought Sarvana and Sarangee are same but this experience saying not! It’s my...
Read moreA Big Noooo to those who would like to visit this restaurant. They don't care about customer requests but all there about is the kiosk to enter the bills. None of the waiter was courteous and behaves respectfully with the customers. They have a very wrong attitude. Heavily priced, Not so super taste just ok ok food taste, overly hyped with good ambience, what will you do with the ambience when they don't serve proper food and treat customers with respect. For this super idiotic place we have to enroll our names and wait till they call us, that is not at all required.I don't want to visit restaurant in future.
I ordered mushroom fried rice for two people and the quantity was moderate and it was okay in taste. But to have that food, we had to wait for nearly 10 mins for the plates to arrive after the food has arrived at the table.
Glass water bottle was very difficult to open and asked the 3 nearby waiters for the help. They kept of ignoring our requests and kept. Adding items on the billing machine. Did not see such a pathetic service, hospitality even from the roadside vendors.
Since the food we had is not completely filling we thought of having one more rice item. Enquired about Veg pulao with waiter and he has heard our query and went onto do his work. After sometime he has asked some other person to take the order. When I asked the other waiter guy about how long it will take. He was very rude and has mentioned "If you want order or else I wont take order". When I spoke to supervisor he has understand our plight and provided the veg pulao.
Veg pulao was sweet in taste and I never had something like that so far in my life and I don't recommend anyone to order the same. Its a disaster.
When we try to give the feedback to the cashier, he has mentioned that it will like that during the busy hours. I was surprised to hear that from him. I don't want to visit super pricy and less tasty overly hyped restaurant in future.
I don't think they will change their behavior as long as we devotees does not...
Read moreI visited Royal Sarangee Family Restaurant in Tirumala with my wife and brother for dinner after Srivari Darshan at the Venkateswara Swamy Temple. The experience was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. From the start, they were unwilling to let us sit on the sofa seating we requested, saying it was only for larger groups, despite a similar area being occupied by a couple with a much smaller bill. We had three people and ended up spending over 1091/- rupees, but they treated us as if they were doing us a favor, not like valued customers.
We ordered tandoori roti and paneer butter masala, but the server brought butter naan instead. When we asked for the correct order, they made us feel as if the mistake was ours. Next, the "veg Hakka noodles" tasted nothing like real Hakka noodles, and the mushroom fried rice tasted terrible with stale, canned mushrooms. The food quality was far from acceptable.
The worst part was during payment. They had only one card machine, which wasn’t working due to a "server issue." Instead of politely handling the situation, the manager, his senior, and even the cashier began arguing and "barking" at me, insisting the problem was not their fault and demanding I pay with UPI or cash. I felt completely disrespected, especially in front of my family. After a long argument, they finally managed to take the payment with the same card machine, proving the issue could have been resolved with patience instead of hostility.
In a holy place like Tirumala, I expected basic courtesy and respectful customer service. However, the staff here acted like they were doing us a favor just by allowing us to be there, and their lack of patience and professionalism was shocking. I strongly advise others to avoid this place if you’re looking for a peaceful experience with your family. You'll likely find far better service and food quality at simpler, more respectful...
