The moment we arrived at the venue it was the most methodical and well communicated ushering we witnessed. From the ground level up someone was there to literally show us to our table. The minute we settled in Shiva as though adopted us for the evening and surprisingly despite a full house around sunset, not once did we had to wave for him to grab attention or for table clearance. I noticed it wasn’t just us but nearly every table had this surreal levels of attention rare to come by in Goa.

The attention to detail is the key game changer in any industry and you my dear have mastered the art palpably effortlessly (am sure there is an army of people making it happen in the background though).

Here’s a few of my favourites from the night - Nowhere in Goa would one find full time attendants at a restaurant to clean/mop and spritz with air freshner after each use. The boy even smiles and wishes guests 😳😊.

Each zone as though had it’s own vibe and music without causing disturbance to the other, it is a feat like no other since your setup is spread across 2 or 3 properties in the lane.

The tables get cleared as soon as the meals are devoured and plates/cutlery resting idle on the table. No wonder your side Tables though visually small never ever fall short of the functionality while dining.

The ability to make every night feel like one big New Years party replete with groovy music and fireworks, seriously how did you think of that? It has the power to make every one feel like a star each night, such a simple manoeuvre but powerful in subtle mental programming.

There is a little bit of everything for everyone in the food choices and each one prepared more delectable than the other. The Korean Chix Bao are the BEST I have had in Goa. The portions are fabulous and well thought of keeping in view the price points, Pousada has a similar range but falls short on the delivery and portions.

Finally it happened on our 16th marriage anniversary and after being staying in Goa for almost 7 years. Purple Martini was not really on our bucket list but we decided to give it a try for a romantic lunch.The hype around this restaurant tucked right next to the Arabian sea is at altogether different level. It is one of the most popular Sundowner destinations of North Goa. After leaving your car at the parking (Parking charges are Rs.100 which is redeemable if you visit Purple Martini) one has to walk a small distance to reach the restaurant. They have a desk right at the entrance who brief you about the fact that if you choose to stay beyond 4 pm then their is a cover charge applicable. They also guide you to the table. We were lucky to get a table overlooking the sea. At this (around 1.45 pm on Monday afternoon) hour their was relatively less crowd. The decor is largely in white and blue colour which gelled well with the expanse which is the highlight of the place. The place has been very artistically and cleverly done. We liked the decor and openness of the restaurant. They also have seating option upstairs. Please note it is open to the elements and some may feel hot during summer Afternoons. They have bar and serve Shisha (hookah) as well. We ordered Chicken Cafreal and fish Tika. Largely food and it's presentation was good. Prices of food and mocktails are slightly on higher side but that is probably for the view that the restaurant offers. I was very satisfied by the treatment extended by the restaurant staff who was serving us. Even the manager gives you a visit enquiring for the taste and overall experience. The view of the sunset must be very satisfying but that is only possible if you get a table right next to the sea. Other tables do not offer the same view. Overall it was a good experience for us, however, I would recommend a visit to the place such that you are able to avoid the cover charge. Do leave a like if you found the review useful.
