This was on my must visit list for a long time. I visit guwahati once a year but i always miss out having food here. This time i had put multiple alarms in my mobile and asked 6 of my frends seperately to tag along with me so that even if 5 of them.cancel I will have one person to go with. 🤭🤭 Reached at around 1.45 pm, booked a table for 2 through Zomato. It was fairly crowded and all tables were getting occupied soon. The aroma of bamboo shoot took me on foodgasm as I entered the premise.
The menu was short which was a relief. I made my mind that i will order everything on the menu and i will have the leftover packed. Ordered for 2 pork thali which had pork cooked with mustard leaf and pork cooked with bamboo shoot. For sides I ordered half plate of Assamese style pork curry and Pork cooked with sesame seeds paste. The menu had totally 5 pork items and i ordered all except the smoked pork which was not available. The thali had rice , aloo pitika, daal, choto aloo bhaji, khar, salad, vegetable boil and papad and a selection of pork dish. The thali (veg part) was by itself such simple and finger licking. All the pork dishes were finger licking good and tasted unique . Oil was a bit high on every dish which would make it difficult to have on a daily or regular basis. Oil concious people would freak out. But i love oil on food and i enjoyed every bit. To make my experience even better there was unlimited papad which they happily come and offered at each table. My happiness knew no bounds and enjoyed every bit of my meal. Only think missing was a comfortable bed next to the table so that i could finish the food and climb on the bed to reat after the heavy lunch. 🤭🤭😂😂 A eatery is bound to reach unfathomable heights when the owner himself gets involved. I witnessed the owner approaching each table asking if they need rice . Such a humble person and definately knows how to take care of his customer. A special shoutout to him.
Will visit again on...

I use to order often but few days ago when visited the restaurant my experience was not that great.
Usually they make good Naga style pork.but that evening i was simply disheartened.
I had ordered pork dry fry and veg thali and my review is 2*/5 stars.
2)The half plate pork was hurriedly fried and I think the pan was not cleaned perhaps, as bitter chunks (full black and bitter) chunkc of onion fully burnt was there making the food bitter.
On request that these pieces were not good the cook again gave me a new plate but the meat was half cooked.
It was all comedy of errors, that day.
It would be unfair to judge them on a single days bad preparation but Dear owner Saab plz don't make happen this lackdasical attitude of your employees. We love your food preparation and such things really pains coz I spent 500/- odd rupee for a meal and i...

Ordered Veg thali (₹70) Pork with bambooshoot (₹130) Pork with laaixaak (₹130) Pork with sesame seeds (₹130) in that order.
Price is okay. But that's a tiny place with not much thought given to create better ambience. Doesn't look very hygienic either. Got our food rather quickly despite having almost all the tables occupied by visitors.
Daal, boiled veg and alooxana tasted the way they should. But there was much more khaar in the khaar. Mom says, Omita doesn't need much khaar anyway... and the mixed veg tasted average. They gave as much Nimbu as we asked. Also got more Papad.
Very less bambooshoot, did not even get the smell... But it had more chillies. It was dry tasted better than other two items. Laaixaak pork was very oily. And there was abundance of sesame in the last item. It had all the gravy you need though. Of the 12 pieces, 7 were skin and fats. And it was a little disappointing for me and my friend.
Over all it was an average experience... Try...
