Red Hot Chilli Pepper — Restaurant in Assam

The restaurant is nice with a good ambience and staff. The quality of the dishes are also good. We had ordered lamb and fried rice with a mocktail. The taste was good with all the dishes. The quantity of rice was sufficient for two people. Lamb was too much so we had it packed. But the price is too high. I mean they are charging almost 1.8 times as high as compared to other good restaurants. And the biggest downside is they are charging "Service charge" at a rate of 10% over and above GST in the bill, what is this? Are we in the USA? It is the responsibility of the hotel management to pay their staff rather than charging from the customers that too without informing them. Often people will not ask about it but no restaurant is allowed to charge service charge. It is totally customers choice whether they want to tip the staff. So I asked the waiter about 10% SC and he said that I can deduct the said amount from the bill if I don't want to pay. See how smart they are, first they add all the charges in the bill without informing you and only when YOU confront them they give you an option to deduct so that you feel uncomfortable asking them to deduct. Food is good and taste is fine because the chef must be superb there. But the staff attitude is quite unprofessional. First of all, they charged us 10% extra service charge (which costs around Rs. 100 for us) apart from gst in the food bill. When asked, they said this is optional we can pay if we like their service, otherwise they will re-edit the bill. We asked them to remove it since no restaurants can charge extra service charge apart from gst. Ofcourse, if we like their service we will pay tips to the waiter but why would we pay compulsory service charge! After paying the bill, we sat in the restaurant for a while hardly 15-20 mins as we were a group of 4 friends having a get together over there. Then came the waiter with a reserved template in his hand, placed in our table and said the table is reserved so we have to move. How rude and unprofessionalism it was! All the other tables were empty and there were only two tables occupied, one by us and another by a group. Moreover it was not that the ac or lights had to be kept on separately for us. This definitely left a very bad imprint on us about the staff of the restaurant and never going to visit it again. on 28 me and my friend drop to visit the red hot chilli pepper restaurent for lunch ,in the entrence they have checked the body temperature of us its ok in this suitation we have to follow the protocol of covid but the staff has not wearing the mask properly and they have made us seat which was ready with cover and then we place the order but i have asked for chilled mineral water the bottle was like its almost used for a years which label was taken out by the steward and the cover of bottle was also a broken we have served with pineapple juice which is only available as for they ,one of the staff have placed a plate on table by standing by side of us and wiping the plate ,i have checked the chilli vineger and soysauce in chilli vineger there was a house flys is swiming ......in this pendamic they are not aware of hyginic and cliness so overall my whole experence was worts hope for bettet next time but at last not a least food was very nice in teast and...
