Among the must-try dishes are the succulent paneer tikka, marinated in a fragrant blend of spices and grilled to perfection. The butter chicken is a crowd-pleaser, with tender chicken pieces simmered in a creamy tomato sauce. For seafood lovers, the Goan fish curry is a must-have, featuring fresh fish cooked in a spicy and aromatic coconut-based broth.

As an avid enthusiast of diverse culinary experiences, I feel compelled to share my recent visit to Bhartiya Jalpan, a bastion of culinary innovation and indulgence.

Amidst a tapestry of flavors and taste, Bhartiya Jalpan exudes a commendable ambition to expand its repertoire beyond traditional confections, demonstrating a laudable commitment to culinary evolution. However, in the pursuit of culinary diversity, Bhartiya Jalpan encounters a critical juncture where refinement is imperative since its offerings leave much to be desired.

While the menu boasts an array of tantalizing options beyond traditional sweets, there is a palpable need indeed, for strategic recalibration and menu optimization. Efficiency in menu curation and adept adjustments are indispensable to ensure a harmonious balance between variety and coherence, thereby enhancing the experience of having the meal/food.

Compounding this gastronomic dissonance is the palpable dearth of managerial acumen and organizational coherence. A cursory observation reveals a lamentable deficiency in the deployment and oversight of staff members, leading to a conspicuous absence of the discipline requisite for a seamless dining experience. Such laxity, palpable and perturbing, undermines the very essence of hospitality and besmirches the reputation of an establishment purporting to embody culinary excellence.

In summation, while Bhartiya Jalpan ostensibly presents itself as a bastion of epicurean delight when it comes to traditional sweets, and that has extended beyond. It however regrettably falls short of the lofty standards it espouses. In a milieu where discernment reigns supreme, it behooves the proprietors to heed this critique and undertake the necessary measures to rectify these glaring deficiencies.

Only through an unwavering commitment to excellence, both in culinary craftsmanship and operational prowess, can Bhartiya Jalpan aspire to reclaim its standing as a paragon of...

The so-called "number one" restaurant in customer satisfaction—ironically, from the bottom.

I visited with my mom, and the first thing I noticed was that only one table had a menu card, the rest were barren. We sat down and waited for five minutes, but the staff didn't acknowledge our presence at all. It was as if we were invisible. They were more interested in pretending to be busy, despite the place having less crowd around 4PM.

The atmosphere was hollow. The staff, though dressed in their shiny uniforms, seemed to have forgotten their primary duty: to SERVE & CARE for their customers.

I ended up leaving without ordering anything, so there’s no way I’m giving them any stars. But if their attitude toward customers is any indication, I’d guess the food is probably clean yet average, and likely overpriced. With service like this, I bet most of their customers are one-time visitors. I know I won’t be going back.

I regret not listening to my mom when she hesitated about going in; she mentioned that many of her friends had similar complaints about the place. People from her generation, with plenty of experience, always prefer Kiranshree and JB's—restaurants that might not have a 5/5 for looks but definitely score 5/5 where it...

During my last visit to Guwahati, I had the opportunity to dine at your restaurant twice. My first experience was very enjoyable, but unfortunately, the second visit did not meet the same standard. I encountered some issues that I prefer not to disclose publicly. I would like to kindly suggest implementing a proper grievance resolution system. When a customer raises a concern with a waiter, it would be helpful if the waiter could promptly inform the manager or a senior employee, who can then communicate the necessary actions taken to the customer. On my last visit, when I raised my concerns privately, the waiter seemed a bit confused. I requested to speak with another waiter, but I did not receive a satisfactory response. Eventually, I spoke with a senior employee at the counter during the bill payment. I understand that challenges can arise in the restaurant business, and I hope you consider my recommendation positively. This is particularly important in relation to food quality, as your establishment is not a budget option. I appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to seeing improvements. Thank you for your time.

Terrible experience. This place is over crowded with poor service quality. It takes time to get your food. But that is not the worst part. The worst part is that no queue or decorum is maintained at the billing counter. No rules are followed. People just crowd the counter from every side and scream out their orders as loudly as possible. Even if you have been waiting at the counter to place your order for a long time, somebody new can just stand behind you, extend their hand with money to the counter guy and scream their order as loud as possible, and his order will be taken before you. Nobody is advised to maintain a queue or maintain social decorum and social distancing. People are pushing one another at the cash counter to place their order first. Wearing mask is not compulsory. And the food is not great TBH, not worth so much hustle and the long wait time. Poor management. Never going to revisit.

We went in the evening time. The place was almost full. This place has dine in and delivery options via Zomato. The place is of prepaid and self-service type. All items were vegetarian. They serve sweets, namkeen, and many North Indian breakfast options. The place is clean with clean bathroom. On ordering the main course like items, the cashier provides you with a beeper and it beeps when the order is ready. It accepted only cash and card when we went. Although QR code was present, they said they don't accept online payments. We had paneer chole bhature for the first time and it was okay (Rs.219 excluding gst). Aloo paratha was a bit too tangy and spicy to my taste , it was served with boondi raita and achaar(Rs. 129 excluding gst). Jalebi with rabri was good in taste (Rs.100). Overall a good experience, will visit next time to try their sweets 😋.
