The Sugar Butterfly — Restaurant in Assam

Went to The Sugar Butterfly last week with my partner. The location is really good, its just a couple of steps from the main road. I had heard so much about this place and thus had walked in with high expectations. I ordered a Red Velvet pastry while he ordered a Lemon Iced Tea. Sadly, I was not satisfied with the taste of the items. The pastry had a very weird taste, as if the cream used wasn't fresh, I felt like it was stale. The lemon iced tea tasted very ordinary and definitely not worth the price that was paid. The sitting area is cute and well decorated, though service is a little slow. I don't mind paying a little higher if the quality of the items demands for it, but I am really disappointed with the food and will probably never...

M extremely sorry for the one star I have to give only for the person as cashier. He cheated us, first of all he asked me 845rupees saying this is the total bill, so i paid him. I had a doubt, I asked him give me the bill, which he was refusing to give, atlast he gave me the bill where the amount was only - 708.. When I asked him, it's only 708rupees, he said mam I didnot include one icecream scoop and water bottle price,he said water bottle price is higher here. So I just thought may b he is being honest and I didnot give a second thought and ran off to the car, next day morning I took out the bill and recalculated along with gst and evrything, it came to 600. The place is uber difficult to find and even Google maps can't help you figure it out, the by-lane that leads to this place is besides the SBI atm opposite to assam secretariat. About the place..it's okayish, not that beautiful or spacious compared to other available delicacies in the city, what pissed me off was the food served for the value they ask. A regular farmhouse pizza costing₹300 took half an hour to be served and the result of that wait was aweful. The pizza was tasteless and blatant, it was so inedible that we left 3 slices of it. The cost for the cakes are higher as well. Overall it's an expensive place with minimal/none to offer in terms of food. Recommendation of visiting this...
