Wood Smoke Café — Restaurant in Assam

Staff: The billing counter guy was playing game in his phone with loud noise when we entered. It was all empty. We couldn't hear the songs properly. He was playing the games as if he was sitting at his home. He was making it very uncomfortable for us to sit there. We were about to leave before ordering anything for us, but we thought of waiting for the guy to stop playing the game. But he did not stop. Then we told him to lower the volume, then he gave us the anger look as if he will kill us. He lowered the volume a bit , but still it was not enough.

Food: we ordered RARA chicken, and it was not cooked properly. When we chewed it , it was like we are chewing rubber.

Overall Bad experience. Never going to...

I have visited this place on 29 th september,2017. Opened recently by 3 young boys ,the place is small but cozy and the decor is simple but elegant.They painted 2 shutters on one side and used low sitting arrangement in front and used high sitting arrangement on the opposite side. Food is too good. we ordered Roomali roti, Rara chicken and Kosha mutton.It tasted excellent.Rara chicken and Roomali roti was awesome. Woodsmoke Cafe is a small eatery in Jorhat and it is one of the best place to have grilled nonveg items. I personally love this place. Café offers variety of Momos, chicken starters and Chinese dishes. The place is open till 10:30 PM and if don't want to be disappointed, check in early, as many of the dishes are not available later on. Ambience is really good.
