One of the best Biryani joints in town. Both mutton and chicken biryanis are great. Half plate has good portions. Liked the mutton chap too. Only issue is they run out of the mutton biryani quite fast like by 7pm. Otherwise would have been a 5 star. Over the years price has increased quite a bit. Maybe they should remove the cheap from the name. They have an AC dining area in the 1st floor but the AC stays off in the "winter"( like every other shop with AC in town) and the windows also stay closed. This makes the dining area very hot, stuffy and stinky. So maybe it's better to dine at the non AC ground floor if you are okay with a bit of dust. 😅 I would always recommend to do a takeaway and dine peacefully in your own home.

So far one of the best chicken Biriyani I've ate. We also had butter chicken & chilli chicken with Kulcha. Talking about biriyani- 9/10 > Quality & quantity of #rice is well. > The #meat was- succulent, juicy & balanced spiced. > And the alu is big & tests decent enough. * Don't go with mutton, surely get disappointed. Butter chicken - Taste good 8/10 Not a single sign of butter. But the white gravy is quite sweet. Chilli chicken- Quite spicy 6/10 no balance of spices.chicken pieces are not satisfying. Kulcha- Pathetic 4/10 Not baked properly. All the stuffing & seasonings are also not cooked properly. Conclusion- the place is best only for Chicken Biriyani. As I've mentioned. Other item are not soo up to mark. 👌

"I had an absolutely wonderful experience dining at Cheap and best! From start to finish, everything was perfect. Food is pretty decent as compared with price. Half plate briyani is also available best for those who just want to have a wonderful briyani. As for the food, it was truly outstanding. Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. I especially loved the "Briyani", which was cooked to perfection. Overall, I can't recommend Cheap and best highly enough. Whether you're looking for a family dinner, or a special occasion celebration, this place is the perfect choice. We had chicken biryani, mutton biryani and chicken chap. We took half plates of biryanis as it is the right quality for one person. However, you can take a full plate and divide for two people also as the full plate biryani comes with two pieces of chicken/mutton. ( Do ask the staff first before ordering ) Mutton biryani was good, so was the chicken biryani. Mutton and chicken pieces of biryani were good and tender. Biryani was good. Now, for chicken chap the gravy was very good. However, the chicken piece provided was very bad and seemed like a stale and refrigerated one. Only that killed our overall experience. Overall, it was okay. The price is 10 rupees more ( for each item ) in the air conditioned 2nd floor.

The food and the Ambience is pretty decent the people have very good generous they will help you in everything about ordering the food is really tasty and delicious to eat but the prices are a bit high I think so for an average person to eat alone is a bit costly but for a full family it will be ok if you share your food and the free water is also available you want but there is a problem that the place is a bit crowdy in the vocational Times sometimes a lot of people are eating in the same please so it will be a bit Messi to eat on that same places again I think they need to clean the dishes and clean the floors too.

This restaurant has been my go to restaurant in Burdwan for a very long time; give or take 10 years. Their mutton biryani and chicken butter masala is one of my favourite combos since then. A lot of restaurants have opened and closed in the past 10-11 years but this restaurant has stood tall in the test of time. Their food quality dropped in the middle few years but they have amended that and made a good comeback really fast. Among other foods, Chicken chaap, mutton chaap and chicken korma tastes amazing. Pocket pinch and taste wise this restaurant is highly recommended!
