Extremely Disappointed – Ulsoor Branch, Bangalore
Had a very unpleasant experience at the A2B Ulsoor branch (opposite HDFC Bank, near Ulsoor Lake) on two separate visits—once on April 23rd and again recently. Despite the restaurant branding itself as a “high class veg dining” spot, the reality was far from it. The AC is not turned on most of the times
On our first visit, we were told that food wouldn’t be served at the table—despite dining in—and were expected to self-serve after paying full price. If you’re not offering basic service, what’s the point of calling it premium dining? The food quality was average, and the air conditioning was either non-functional or deliberately turned off.
On our second visit, service was even worse. The manager literally dropped the plate of Kashmiri pulao on our table and walked away—without even giving us proper plates for both people. I had to chase him down for a second plate, which he gave after a delay. When asked about the lack of service, we were told it's “not their job” and “self-service” is how it works now—completely contradicting their service model. Service is available between 12 to 3 and 7 to 9, if you have staff shortage then shutdown service totally and make it entirely self-service.
To top it off, the food was cold, lacked flavor, and caused stomach issues afterward. For a place that charges a premium and claims to be “high class,” this is completely unacceptable. The manager was rude and indifferent, citing staff shortages as the reason. If that’s the case, either fix the staffing or stop misleading customers with false branding.
The only positive was Mr. Shankar at the cash counter, who was sincere, apologetic, and actually stepped in to serve us—something the manager couldn't be bothered to do.

We had food that was absolutely terrible. weren’t given a bill and when asked about their “no bill, free food” sign, the staff made excuses saying it’s for the sweets corner. Then when I showed him the board on the food corner, he said that that’s not how it works, we haven’t taken that board down, some rubbish excuse. All said and done I paid through Gpay. He said the qr expired !! So I’ve to pay again . And so I did to the same account. He then said that no it’s a new qr that I’ve to pay to!! (By this time I’ve already paid TWICE!) He then gets the sweet corner qr and makes me pay there. So a total of 3 times i paid!!! And I’ve gotten a refund of one!! I’m not from Bangalore, I’m from chennai and this is the worst possible experience in an A2B! Looking at the reviews now, I clearly am not the only one !!
Oh I still haven’t received my refund . They are making me talk to So many people for this! COMPLETELY REGRET. DONT GO HERE EVEN IF IT MEANS...
Read moreUseless people never care for peoples time. They are arrogant that anyways people will come. Once 4 -5 of the customers had to wait for 20 mins to bill because the guy had gone somewhere. I had complained in their website. No body responded nor have they any worry.....The guys working here are like government workers. They feel that if they do their work its enuf. No care of customers are waiting to check if that person will be coming soon etc. If u see there is a shanthi sagar right in front where there would be 100 people . Here hardly 5....Because of their attitude they had to close the restaurant in first floor some months back. If this continues they will have to close their self service...
