I used to visit Altitude regularly and it was one of my favorite spots before the management change. Sadly, the experience now is very disappointing.
Recently, we booked a table through Swiggy and visited, but the staff refused to accept payment through Swiggy. They insisted we pay through another QR code after promising a discount. Later, when we checked the bill, we noticed an extra item – mushroom nuggets for ₹300 – which we never ordered. It felt like this was added to compensate for the discount they offered.
The staff also seemed completely unaware of the menu and gave vague answers. Another issue is the way they serve food in small toy-like tanker and cycle etc , probably to make it look attractive, but it actually feels unhygienic u can spot d dust and not practical at all.
About the pizza: only the Double Cheese Pizza is served with 9 pieces, but all the other pizzas come as just 4 very small pieces on a tiny base. For example, they charge ₹400 for these 4 small pieces, which is absolutely not worth the price. The quantity is too little, and the quality is no longer what it used to be.
Earlier, the experience was great, especially because of Mr. Chandu, who always provided excellent service and cared for customers. Unfortunately, after the management change, everything – from food quality to service – has gone downhill.
I truly hope the management addresses these issues: transparent billing, better portion sizes, hygiene, and proper staff training. This place used to be amazing, and it would be great to see that...
Read moreThis was my first time at the Altitude, and the experience, I must say, was pathetic. I've always had reservations about coming to this place since this place looked shady ever since its inception.
However, my cousin mentioned that he had a good experience in the past. We decided to visit this place this evening, given the location and the rooftop in Basaveshwarnagar.
The view during Diwali is impeccable, wherein you can see the beautiful rockets and glitter across the landscape.
We ordered the Kingfisher Ultra draught, and we are almost done with the draught and have yet to get the peanuts to the table. I had to go to the kitchen to figure out what happened to our order, and this was consistent throughout our time at the bar.
The Murgh Lasooni Tikka was delicious, and I was asking for more; the BBQ Panner Tikka was insane. I often don't eat vegetarian because the Panner tikka was wonderfully made. As we continued to order another pitcher, I had to make a couple of visits to the kitchen to figure out our other requirements.
The Mysore Chicken Kadai was bare, and the Chilly Chicken Lollipop was terrible. Then we asked for Chicken Briyani for closure. I've never eaten a Briyani that unsatisfactorily and ensured that it's not added to the bill, or was that pathetic.
I hope the management needs a revamp, and the service is pathetic. The place is a mess. I don't recommend this place on any given day; the staff have no idea how to...
Read moreWe as a family of 8 ppl including elders and kids went for sunday dinner and it ended up as the worst restaurant we have ever visited in Bangalore. Completely unprofessional and utter lack of responsibility in treating customers. I called the restaurant and booked the seats and asked if we can get pet dog which is a small size cocker spaniel. They confirmed and when we reached they all smiled and ushered us to our table which was in the corner. They even commented Dog is part of the family. We made sure our dog was secured and it quietly slept under our table. Not even a single bark. In 10 mins the manager comes and says we cant stay with our pet and have to leave. This without any customer or anyone objecting. When we asked why they agreed on call and even welcomed in, they had no answer nor apology. Totally unprofessional. We had to leave with our elders and kids and our family dinner plan screwed. Would never recommend for any...
