Worst experience ever.
The place is usually crowded with a lot of people, mind you they all are not the customers but these swiggy, zomato, etc etc. delivery boys. If one goes to order something they are made to wait along with these online orders.
Trust me, I had to wait for 1 hour, yeah one full hour. Initially at the time of order itself the cashier said that I have to wait for half an hour as it was already crowded. Since I had some other work, I placed order and took my order number and left. When I came back after 30-35 minutes, still not ready!! That thing was really frustrating. Imagine if a hungry person goes to a hotel and he's made to wait for so long without an option to cancel since he has paid already. Finally After waiting for another 25-30 minutes I received my Dosa. But I had no mood to eat after all the waiting and the heat from the burning of woods inside hotel.
You can go, espicially on sundays if you have extra time to spare and don't have anything else to do.
Another thing is that the size of Dosa. It has reduced since they renovated the place and the price is also increased. Maybe they are recovering their renovation cost...
Read moreA small eat out, which serves delicious traditionally made dosas.. They make dosa using firewood, which gives it a authentic taste.. However, the best part for me was the simple flavourful chutney and plain potato palya. Its makes this tiffin whole and complete. They apply a generous amount butter on the dosa and they serve nearly 5-6 varieties of dosas. Can go here with your entire family, kids will also love the dosa here.
Time - 7.00 am to 10.30 pm Waiting time - 15-25 mins (usually crowded) while you're waiting you can watch the way the dosa is prepared (so you know what's going into your dosa) and its also a enjoyable sight. Hygiene/cleanliness - i would give it 3 stars (tables are not clean/fresh, and place is smelly). They serve dosas on plantain leaf and that's a relief.. Water- provides filter water (would recommend carrying your own bottle specially if your taking your kids along) Seating - no seating, the have just placed two tables. Take away - available
Overall, its a good place to enjoy your favorite dosa.. I am not a dosa person, but this is the only place where i have...
Read moreIm sure whatever I write will be a repeat of the vibes given by the benne dosa to others . Located on the road connecting 8th Junction of Basaveshwarnagar and Saneguruvanahalli , this place is quite old in the locality (I probably think 12-15 years) . Floating crowd always in the place , best benne dosa in the locality/area. If you are in basaveshwarnagar or surrounding vicinities and are craving for benne dosa , go here . Dosa Only , no other food stuff.
Its a self service eatery , you pay and get a bill which is handed over at the counter for your dosa to be made on order. Cash and UPI payments accepted. On holidays and weekends , expect crowd and a lot of wait time. Plus the delivery company guys waiting for parcels , may increase the wait time. The essence of a dosa is always when you eat it fresh from the tawa , specially when its heated through wood fire. The place has 2/3 standing tables for you to savour the dosa . Car Parking on the front is difficult , look for cross road parking. 2 wheeler is fine as long as no traffic...
