I recently bought Eggless Pineapple Cake - 1 kg for birthday. As soon as, everyone ate the cake and felt some unusual taste in the cake. My 5 year son threw the cake. I was shocked and then when I checked my tongue bit sour or tangy, some weird yellow crystals in the cake. Everyone threw it. The birthday party didn't go well and I apologized to everyone for giving such a BAD CAKE to them. I think it is some CHEMICAL MIXED CAKE....PLEASE BEWARE!!! Immediately, I called Amma's Pastries Banaswadi, they told to bring left out cake for examination. When I took it and showed it to their Quality Manager. He gave some high funda explanation saying eggless cakes will give this taste as soon it mixes with cream. I have eaten eggless cakes from many other leading bakers but never experienced this bad. They refused to pay back or apology for giving this CHEMICAL MIXED CAKE!! Don't ever buy from AMMA'S PASTRIES especially EGGLESS CAKES. We had trusted this place from many years and gave order for birthday cake.. First of all the staffs are least bothered to explain patiently about the options they have and if we want to customise how it can be done etc they are constantly talking to each other.. They don't care if customer is there or not just chit chating and no focus to listen to customers.. We stand there n make a hasty decision because it's irretating that no one really cares about customer.. We paid 4k for a two tire cake and also mentioned the name n message but on the day of receiving he asks n writes it so shabbily.. The cake was not attached to each other properly..even though we went absolutely slowly in car the top layer fell we somehow fixed n kept in fridge but the base is more bigger than the top and imbalance.. It disfigured the cake . The fondant was so much more than the cake that we couldn't slice the cake it was all powdery.. Spoilt the kids bday. Extremely disappointed ..
