Me and Biriyani's go a long way, be it my Mom's Mutton Biriyani cooked in coconut milk that I grew up with, the Lucknowi Biriyani that I savoured in a north Indian chain in Chennai, or the unique no mint, no coriander Biriyani served at Lucky, Mumbai, or the Less in Spice, More On Flavour Kerala style Biriyani, or be it the Fish Biriyani I enjoyed in Muscat, Oman, I could engage you forever on my Biriyani tales, maybe I should start a Travelogue dedicated to my Biriyani Journeys. Leaving that thought aside, lets make space for Biriyani Zone and why it's special.
I have been visiting {Biriyani Zone} for over 5 years now, and I can vouch that it serves the best Hyderabad style Biriyani in Whitefield, if not entire Bangalore. Be it the In-restaurant dining experience or their speedy delivery, there is nothing to complain about this Biriyani place, which has a huge fan following over this part of Bangalore. We order from here so much that sometime we get bored, and move over to other Biriyani stops around Whitefield and finally can't wait to come back to Biriyani Zone.
{Biriyani Zone} serves authentic, Hyderabadi style dum Biriyani cooked over a wood fire, which brings our the best flavours from the rice as well as the meat. Let me warn you, this Biriyani is not for someone who cannot handle spicy food. And for somebody who can handle it, ask for the double masala in your Biriyani, it's super spicy you will start sweating through your scalp. Though their Mutton Biriyani comes highly recommended, I haven't tried that yet.
Apart from their Biriyani, their Tandoori dishes are good, must try from my long favourite list would be the Chicken Sholay Kebab, and the Chicken lolly pop. They do have a minimal dessert offering, the Qurbani-Ka-Meeta with a scoop of butterscotch ice cream is the only way to cool down this spicy Biriyani.
Quick Summary - The Best Hyderabadi Dum Biriyani, with a perfect balance of flavour and spice, accompanied with excellent tandoori and Chinese mains, to top the food are the courteous staff and a quick service in a cool ambience, a must try for Biriyani Lovers across Bangalore & beyond.
Whenever my colleagues from the city, argue about which is the best Biriyani, I always challenge their choice by recommending Biriyani Zone. But unfortunately, to try this goodness, you have to make a trip all the way to Kundalahalli, crossing over the Marathalli flyover. I know, it's a little too much to ask for, considering Bangalore traffic. But hey I can confidently say that the trip to this Biriyani Heaven is worth every pain you take...
Read moreI ordered mutton biriyani family pack yesterday night. Well it got delivered on time but when I started eating I found a big piece of plastic cooked along with the biriyani in the dish. I don’t know what hygiene parameters are you following. I have been a customer since the time it opened in Kundalahalli branch and never ever have I experienced this kind of food. I believe the quality of food has gone done below par and there is no complaint policy and hygiene parameters that you are following. I have taken photos and even have some amount of biriyani left which I could not dare to eat as I may fall sick. I have lost trust & word of mouth may result in losing customers like this. If you really care for your customers and quality, you should not be Serving this type of food with plastic. I called the Kundalahalli outlet as soon as I saw the plastic and that representative said sorry. Is that it? It’s a blunder cooking plastic with Biryani and serving it to the customer. This mistake should be counted as zero tolerance. I am skeptical of my health now after having biriyani from biriyani zone Kundalahalli outlet. Please worry about the quality of food , hygiene. When a customer trust and order food from you it is your equal responsibility in ensuring the quality and trust to be maintained. Very sad with the pathetic experience. I am not sure if you would read the review and what action would you take, but I am...
Read moreHad terrible experience and certainly wanted to share it. I am a vegetarian. My order was online and part of my order contains “Biriyani Rice”. I was shocked to see some meat/mutton/chicken pieces being served/delivered for the simple “Biriyani rice” order. Never knew that non vegetarian rice along with pieces will be served for a Biriyani rice item. My intention was to get plain/masala Biriyani rice. I didn’t order Veg Biriyani, it’s just the Biriyani rice just to make it more clear. When I contacted the Biriyani zone, one guy shocked to know this and later call was forwarded to other guy who seemed to be a owner or manager and he was defending it without even apologetic or concerned. Not expecting any apology but at least show some concern and that is important. He went to an extent that he doesn’t mind if someone complains about it. Sheer attitude guys and that confirms he is big guy may be owner!! Be mindful guys if you are a vegetarian and when ordering Biriyani rice especially. Be clear and specific if ordering online and that’s the lesson I learnt. Over to...
