A Mixed Bag Experience
This place seems to be a popular choice, but based on our visit, it feels overrated. The overall experience was a blend of average dishes, small portions, and inconsistent flavors. Here's a breakdown of the items we tried:
Manchow Soup (3/5): It was average at best. Nothing particularly stood out in terms of flavor or texture.
Pan-Fried Noodles (3/5): While the name suggests crispy noodles, the dish turned out to be a soupy, gravy-laden preparation. On asking, the staff insisted, "This is how the dish is meant to be." A bit disappointing.
Crispy Corn (4/5): The standout of the meal! The corn was crunchy and well-seasoned, making it the most enjoyable dish.
Paneer Starter (3.5/5): The paneer was decent, but it didn’t offer anything exceptional to write home about.
Garlic Noodles (1/5): A major letdown. The flavors were off, and the dish lacked balance.
Portion Size: The servings were small, which doesn’t justify the price for a full-fledged meal.
Final Verdict: This place might work for a quick snack but isn’t ideal for a complete dinner. While a few dishes were good, the inconsistency in flavors and portions makes it hard to recommend for a satisfying dining experience.
Would I revisit? Only for the crispy corn and maybe a quick bite—not for a...
Read moreOne of the worst experiences. I would never recommend this place. They have the worst possible service. All there reviews are correct. This restaurant truly deserves 1star or less.
People and food both were ridiculous. They took almost 1hour to server us. Even after the wait they could bring us only one starter. That too it was slightly burnt.
We were so hungry by then we didn’t send the food back. After 1st starter we were expecting our next starter but again there was no food for another 10 mins. Then they served us our main course. Our noodles were soggy. Rice was extremely blunt. Basically not edible enough.
So we had to order another dish. Which took another 10 to 15mins. And after our entire main course was served and almost we were ending our dinner we received our starter.
This starter was the ultimate disappointment. Not only they took forever to prepare the order but they served us the wrong food. We ordered chicken wonton and instead they served us veg wonton. On top of that they had the audacity to tell us that it was the correct order. After this nonsense gesture we refused to pay for the wonton.
And we were not the only one to experience such terrible service. Both the table next to us were facing the same issues.
Never visit this place or...
Read moreI'm disgusted and traumatized by Chowman's Brookfield, Bangalore. As a strict vegetarian, I found a shrimp in my "veg noodles" just when I had my first bite. Upon contacting them, they shockingly admitted to using the same unwashed utensils for both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. This means their "vegetarian" food is grossly cross-contaminated, a profound violation of dietary and religious beliefs.
This isn't just an error; it's a deliberate misrepresentation and a complete disregard for customer trust and food safety. Marketing food with green mark doesn't make it veg when the appropriate food preparation practice is not being followed. Is this how you disregard customer trust? Note- This is not my first time ordering from Chowman I have had food from here before, that means I unknowingly consumed non veg contaminated food in my last order as well. And I don't think the brand manager understood the gravity of the issue no assurance was provided on getting this negligence fixed. Please avoid ordering from here if you are a vegetarian like me. Can't even explain the disgust I felt, the breakdown i went through with just that one bite...this is so so...
