After their successful stint in Indirangar, Bologna recently opened a new restaurant in Whitefield, more specifically near Kadugodi bridge. On entering the restaurant, one would mentally transport to the humble eateries in the streets of Venice, thanks to the decor maintained by the team and unmistakably the classic Italian tracks being played for the diners. The staff was extremely friendly and greeted us with big smiles. Their hospitality was top notch, whether it was helping us to our tables, suggesting us their specials, taking feedback for the served dishes.
We were served the bread basket with pesto butter as soon as we were seated which is in line with the Italian tradition. The bread was super soft and was clearly freshly prepared. We chose the POLLO RIPIENO DI FORMAGGIO IN FILO as our appetizer. It was a beautiful marriage of basil pesto infused chicken in the thinnest filo roll with marinara sauce. One could savour all the flavours with the first bite. The side salad was also really well done and the sundried tomatoes in it just elevated the flavours. Next we went with the VEG CAESAR SALAD and even that was one of the best that I’d ever had. The lettuce was fresh with generous amount of grated Parmesan cheese and Caesar sauce. The cherry tomatoes were a nice small addition. We skipped the main course and dived into the desserts with the restaurant’s signature TIRAMISU CAKE. We’d recently visited Venice and had the same and can easily vouch for this one as well. The softness of the mascarpone cheese with the goodness of chocolate just made our day. The portion size was good enough to serve 2 of us, so no complaints there. There was an unusual addition of caramel popcorn with it, so if you’re a fan of the that variant of popcorn, you’ll love it even more.
All in all, I’m going to visit this eatery a lot more often, thanks to their authentic Italian...

We started with the Funghi Aglio Olio—a dish so exquisitely crafted, it felt like a love letter to mushrooms. The earthy flavor of the fungi paired with the rich garlic undertones was a bold, yet delicate, introduction to what was to come.
For the main course, we were transported to Italy with every bite. The Risotto con Funghi was a creamy, velvety masterpiece. The rice was perfectly cooked, the mushrooms sautéed to perfection, and the truffle notes were an absolute game-changer. It was so rich and comforting, we couldn't help but sigh in satisfaction after every spoonful.
The Penne Arrabbiata with Prawns was nothing short of explosive! The heat from the perfectly spiced Arrabbiata sauce balanced beautifully with the sweetness of the prawns, creating a symphony of flavors that danced across our palates. The pasta was cooked to absolute perfection—al dente, and yet somehow still tender enough to make each bite feel like a warm hug from Italy itself.
If Bologna's goal is to transport you straight to Italy with each dish, they have absolutely succeeded. The service was impeccable, the staff attentive without being intrusive, and every plate that came to our table was like a work of art. We truly felt like we were in a Michelin-starred restaurant without the exorbitant price tag.
Bologna is a place where every meal is a celebration, and we will certainly be back for more! Highly recommend it to anyone in search of authentic, mouthwatering Italian cuisine. An absolute gem...
Read moreA brilliant place to experience and explore Italian cuisine! The food here is amazing and authentic!! And there’s wine too!
The place serves veg and non veg - chicken , pork and mutton. You will be served with home made bread as a complimentary dish and it’s probably the best bread I have had in the longest time! Incredibly soft , perfectly warm , delicious and goes great with the presto butter! Coming to the dishes - I cannot pronounce any of the dishes we tried but they were all brilliant! Never imagined I’d have bacon wrapped musk melon and never thought I would call that delicious but it was!!! All the appetizers we tried are flavorful, brilliantly presented and absolutely amazing! The pastas were outstanding and so were the pizzas! I cannot stress enough how authentic and fresh and flavorful all the dishes we ordered were! A big callout for the lasagna - really well done! The place also serves wine, and it’s a good idea to order some as it compliments the Italian cuisine. We unfortunately were too full to try the desserts but the options here are very tempting and surely coming back to try the food and desserts again (and again and again…).
The ambience is quite nice, with soft music , relaxed lighting and spacious seating arrangements. You have a choice of seating inside or outside in the balcony but with the Bangalore traffic noice it certainly helps to be seated inside. The staff is friendly and polite and the speed of service is also pretty good.
Some of the options may feel a bit pricey but for the quality, quantity and authenticity of the servings, it’s worth every penny!
It’s a great spot to come in with family and friends and even perfect...
